I take it to mean you are dumping a boatload of skill dense people to solve missions ASAP with no other plan. No battles, infiltration, capturing, etc.

Are solvers specifically going for a two mission win or 3+?

I say get as many personnel into play as possible to power through dilemmas.

2 or 3 missions depends on whether you are trying to get lots of bonus points somehow. The exception would be doing two 35 to 45 point missions using lots of mission specialists.

Agreed.

Not necessarily a two-mission win.

I wouldnt say having to get a bunch of personnel out, but more about getting the "right" personnel out. Drake has shown me just a glimpse of his fine tuning of creating his decks. So I think its building a strong group of personnel that can get out as quickly as possible.

Typically a solver is trying to solve missions as quickly as possible, attempting by turn 2, turn 3 at the latest. 2-3 mission wins, have a way to deal with interactive means, but making sure able to continue to just focus on solving in single attempts.

I don't really use the term "solver," (because almost all decks are solve missions to win) but often "speed solver." I define it as a deck with no deliberate interaction, few to no verb cards that do anything other than get draws or to get personnel into play. Usually a 3 mission win that doesn't rely on a bonus point mechanic.

In terms of what a "speed solver" is not (to me):
"battle deck": Keep opponent frightened and do enough damage to slow them down enough to get the win
"infiltration deck": Disrupt opponent enough with infiltration to win
"capture deck": Capture to slow opponent and gain points/advantages
"lock-down deck": Focus entire early game on preventing opponent from doing ANYTHING. Then solve for the win
"Toolbox deck" or "Swiss army knife deck": Maximize versatility, lots of verbs
"Gimmick deck": Two mission win with a large bonus point mechanic or three mission win with objectives that give large non-point bonuses (like double turns)

A solver to me is a deck that can draw, play cards, and has other attributes that can slow down my opponent but without me having to sacrifice much in terms of playing my personnel or card drawing if need be.

I think speed solvers are an entirely different category.
