Here's the deck list I used in the Regional. The hypothesis of the deck was: Organ Theft and Group Therapy would give me enough easy access to skills and reporting speed to keep pace with the modern game.

Based on my 4 games, I'd say that this hypothesis was false, but not by much. The biggest issue I had was getting enough card draws to feed my Organ Theft engine. Going against either [1E-TNG] or [22] in all of my games, I noticed that my opponents' mid turn draws without having to spend a card play to get them gave them a throughput advantage over me.

I'd be interested in people's thoughts on how to improve this deck. After an 0-2 start I was thinking it was a complete and total pile, but the backside rally to finish 2-2 showed me that there's a few thing that generally work and serve as a foundation to build on.

I'd welcome your thoughts and advice on how to do that building.

Thanks,

- Brian

I looked at that. The problem was it was 2 more seed slots and I was already at 17 dilemmas.

And that's kind of my point. Compare that with Continuing Mission. For one seed slot I get a set and forget free play engine (via the [WC] download) AND a mid turn card draw all for the cost of one seed slot.

So [1E-DQ] = 2 seed slots for one end of turn card draw
Vs. [1E-TNG] = 1 seed slot for one mid turn card draw AND one free play.
Vs. [22] = 2 seed slots for one mid turn card draw AND one free play (Time location + Finally Ready to Swim)

Put that way, the math does itself.

Hm. I've seen quite a few Hirogen / Equinox decks that run just fine -- actually quite fearsome -- and my first instinct was that Vidiian / Equinox should run at exactly the same pace.

But I suppose Hirogen have (more) access to Holograms, which serve as a secondary play engine in many Hirogen decks. And Vidiians are pretty much stuck with Vidiians. But doesn't Organ Theft make up for that?
