Hi folks,

I'm looking for advice and suggestions as to what I should play for next weekend's North American Continental Championships. In particular, I want to know what you guys, as the community of 1E players, want to see me play?

Any ideas?

That's definitely not competitive.

I'm not even sure it's fun.

:?

OTOH, if you want to see first hand the disparity between non- [Fed] [1E-DQ] and tier one decks, this would be a good first hand learning experience.

[SCN] Fun is irrelevant. Playing is futile.

[SCC] Operate a [BO] deck. Maximize efficiency.

[SCD] Disseminate data on mandatory functional skills to Suden, for acquisition, so that he may achieve perfection where none exists now.

Comply.

Affiliation that (1) excites you and (2) you haven't played in the longest time.

Alternatively: [Bor] Borg solver. I played my first-ever Borg deck at NACC specifically because I knew I didn't understand them or sympathize with them enough to help with Borg-related cards. It helped a lot. I'm no Borg expert, but they're no longer this alien thing that fills me with dread and a vague sense that there's nothing I can do to stop them.

...of course, I lost NACC. So. There's that.

(I recently wrote up like a 5-page "how to play this deck" guide for somebody and would be happy to share.)

Well, if you liked Nostalgia, you could play TNG Legitimate Leader Klingon. They also have a turn one love café pair, and excellent specialist options, so you could make a deck that plays quite similarly.

I've thought a Khitomer/Protect the Timeline/Great Hall deck could be pretty fun for a while, there's just no achievement to make me do it.

That is really a great answer. You may want to heed this one, Lich!

That sounds like a possible match...

Would it help a Traditional player, with a totally different deck, to improve their gameplay and/or understanding? I've played my deck 11x now, lost almost every time, and have a hard time tracking all the options.
If it can help me, I'd be interested in your dissertation(?).

FYI, Charlie, you have a Round 1 Bye for 1E Continentals. Not sure if that factors into your decision or not, but you do have one despite what the Earned Byes list says currently. You picked it up in the online event (which shows Jon getting it despite Jon already having one.)

It's impossible to achieve perfection without using Virtual cards! Drone Suden is instructed to assimilate ALL knowledge, not just Decipher's. :P

On a serious note... it might? I dunno. I'll send it to you.

I recommend playing a deck that uses Q's Tents in your deck with situational defensive / offensive cards in your Tent :)

Well... some of the coolest drones in Voyager are actually defective, abandoned drones. Call me defective. (And I did manage to achieve perfection by harnassing particle 010 -- twice, now -- even though it was some turns after my opponent had already won. Perfection is relative. Wait--)

I missed this post somehow. Thanks again for sending! It's a long document, but I'll read it.

While skimming, I seemed to see that you also categorize your drones according to the relevance of their continued existence? Me, too! That's fun to see.
