"Boring to play, boring to play against" was a direct quote. I disagree on both counts.
TOS 8472 is particularly useful as an anti-interference deck. It's hard to prevent a good deck from solving a single mission even as a dedicated interference deck, and those are the decks that are most likely to have trouble with the 8472 dilemmas.

Note: I don't mean to say that TOS 8472 is a one-trick pony, just that I'm glad that it can play that role in the game.
