2E has lots of cards that are 1E Backwards compatible, most are blah and some are ok. Many have already been converted to 1E templates. 2E also has some cards that could be used to inspire design of a 1E card where a direct conversion is not possible. This thread is dedicated to some of those cards.
First lets start with some popular 2E Dilemmas
2E Card
3 Tragic Turn
Consume: 2. (Your opponent places the top two cards of his or her dilemma pile face up beneath this mission.) Place this dilemma on this mission (limit one per mission). When a dilemma is overcome here, if that dilemma killed any of your personnel, randomly select a personnel attempting the mission to be killed. Otherwise, if that dilemma stopped any of your personnel, randomly select a personnel attempting the mission to be stopped.

Your opponent chooses a personnel to be killed. If you do not command a completed space mission, he or she chooses an additional personnel to be killed.

Necessary Execution
If you have not completed a mission, kills one Away Team member (opponents choice). Otherwise stop one Away Team member (opponents choice). Discard Dilemma.
Bonus 1E Card
Mandatory Execution
If you have not completed a mission, kills one crew member (opponents choice). Otherwise stop one crew member (opponents choice). Discard Dilemma.
2E Card
2 Artificial Ability
Consume: 1. (Your opponent places the top card of his or her dilemma pile face up beneath this mission.) Your opponent names an attribute (Integrity, Cunning, or Strength). Each personnel with that attribute>7 is stopped.

Your opponent names an attribute (Integrity, Cunning, or Strength). Each personnel with that attribute >8 is stopped. Also each personnel with 6 or more is stopped until end of your next turn. Discard Dilemma.
