Welcome to Fill in the Blank Season 3: Decipher!

Each week I'll post the collector’s information for one of the cards in the set’s card-list.

Contestants are free to create whatever card they see fit for that slot in the card-list, keeping in mind the surrounding cards. As the contest progresses, the card-list will become more and more defined, guiding the contestants’ choices.

The theme of our set is Decipher! You're free to interpret this how you want, but in my mind, I found myself going down one of two rabbitholes, those being...
  • the secretive, possibly Intelligence based path, or
  • the keyword path (keyword's being the key to deciphering ciphers)
Not every card has to fit the theme, of course, but it’s something to keep in mind when coming up with entries.

Each week a poll will go up for the previous week's entries. Simply vote for one you like the most. In the event of a tie, I'll let a random result generator make the decision.

Last week's winner...

Congratulations to WeyounsLastClone and his Business Priorities for becoming the twenty first card to enter the set.

Last week's entries to pick from for Card #28...
[Kli] 4 •Kathryn Janeway, Resilient Prey
[Cmd] [Voy] Human
•Anthropology •Honour •Law •Leadership •Officer •Security
When you win combat involving this personnel, if she is equipped with a Hand Weapon you may choose one of your non-headquarters missions. The player on your left places the top card of his or her dilemma pile beneath that mission.
"This battle is yours today, but the House of Mo'kai will never yield."
Integrity 7 Cunning 7 Strength 6
[Kli] (5) •Worf, of House Martok
[Cmd] [DS9] Klingon
[SD] 2 Anthropology [SD] 2 Honor [SD] Leadership [SD] Officer
Order- Stop this personnel aboard your ship with Weapons>9 to remove each event and dilemma on this mission from the game.
"Your actions on the Rotarran, at the time I thought they were disloyal, but I have come to realize that your intention was to remind me of my duty as a soldier of the Empire and as a warrior."
I:8 C:5: S:8
[Kli] 1 *Klaang, First Contact

[Stf] [Pa] Klingon

Honour, Intelligence, Navigation,

This personnel is attributes -1 for each completed mission any player commands.

"It's a Klingot."
"A Klingon."

Integrity: 8, Cunning: 7, Strength: 9

Notes:

For the first Klingon that Humans ever encountered (from Enterprise: Broken Bow,) I decided to go with a play on Starfleet's whole completing missions early for bonuses theme. This guy still wants you to get out early, but it's because he gets worse the more missions are completed. Still a 1 cost personnel with initially high attributes and a rare skill combination should be worth the penalty.

All the Best,

Mattgomery Scott.
[Kli] (3) •D'Ghor, Schemer and Plotter
Klingon
[Stf]
•Acquisition •Leadership •Programming •Treachery
This personnel is attributes +1 for each Commodity you command but do not own.
"It's no accident your family's getting weaker and D'Ghor's family is getting stronger. He's been systematically attacking your family's assets for over five years now."
INT 4 CUN 6 STR 7
[NA] (3) •Berlingoff Rasmussen
[Pa] Human
Acquisition, Anthropology, Archeology, Engineer, Treachery
Temporal. Thief. When you play this personnel, he has [Fut] instead of [Pa] until the end of your next turn.
Order- Return Berlingoff Rasmussen to hand to take command of an opponent's equipment present.
"You don't like me very much, do you?"
Integrity 3 Cunning 6 Strength 5

This week’s contest is...

Card #7!

Card #6 is the dilemma, Regional Dispute, and Card #8 is equipment, Dataport, so this plugs the gap. That leaves you with:
  • a dilemma (after Regional Dispute)
  • or, an equipment (before Dataport)
Closing date: Monday 28th September(ish - after weeks of running this, I think Monday morning for admin is the best. We'll see...).

Good luck!

Note: This'll be a 36 card set.

[S] 4 Unwanted “Upgrade.”

Each personnel who uses a skill while facing this dilemma is stopped. Unless you have 2 Engineer, 2 Programming and Cunning>40, place this dilemma on this ship.
Damage - Cards which increase this ships attributes now decrease them by the same amount.

Not all technological advancements are actually improvements. Starfleet's experiments with transwarp drive in the 2280s were less than successful.

All the Best,

Mattgomery Scott.

This dilemma is cost -1 for each Intelligence Romulan your opponent commands. Randomly select a personnel to be stopped, and if the owner of this dilemma commands Romulus and no other headquarters missions place this dilemma in your core. The selected personnel gains Assassin, Infiltrator, Intelligence, and Treachery and is commanded by the owner of this dilemma.
"I have surmised that Commander La Forge was conditioned by Romulans. A process referred to historically – and somewhat inaccurately – as 'brainwashing'."

Highlander. The owner of this card may not include more than one copy of any dilemma in his or her dilemma pile. Place this in your core. Dual dilemmas are cost +1. Non-dual dilemmas are cost -1.
"You rule without wisdom and without honor. The warriors that are gathered here will not say this to you, but I will. You are squandering our ships and our lives in a petty act of vengeance!"

[D] (4) Your Galaxy Is Impure
Species 8472. Choose one: randomly a personnel to be killed, then place this dilemma in your core; or randomly select two personnel to be killed.
"They say...its proximity is a threat to their genetic integrity."

Had a difficult time choosing, the dials were so different, yet cool across the board.

Your Telepathy personnel present gain Telepathy and are Cunning +1.
Order- Choose a keyword on your Telepathy personnel and choose another personnel present to gain that keyword. This effect lasts until this order is executed again.
"Crystal prism to focus and amplify telepathic abilities. The Haliians also used it to establish an empathic bond between two lovers."
