Me and the mad-scottsman (sexecutioner) were playing a friendly online game and he ran into my Cardassian Processing. He didn't pass it and he said that some people told him that it goes back under the mission until he passes. Is this true, essentially making this a wall? Reading over the text several times, I couldn't distinguish. Can anyone help clarify please?

Thanks,
~D

glossary, capturing wrote: • Upon capture, captives are
immediately relocated to one of your
crews or Away Teams at that location,
if possible (to the specific crew or
Away Team making the capture, if
any, such as when using Ilon Tandro
or Captured).
• Otherwise, the capturing card remains
in play and serves as a temporary
“trap” to hold the captives on your
side of that location until your
personnel can arrive to take them into
custody. (If there is a planet at that
location, the trap is on the planet.)
So if you fail the dilemma's conditions and your opponent has a ship or away team at the location (to which the captive is relocated), the dilemma goes back underneath the mission.

If you fail the conditions but your opponent does not have anything present to take the captive, the dilemma has to serve as a "trap" card and does not go back under the mission.

Personally i think it;s kind messed up that my people being that make it a wall i think it should always go away but the second part about capture dilemmas is what most people miss, so most of the time it should be placed on the person.

So what about Cardassian Trap?? It says "Unless" but then says the trap is placed over there with the captive. If I have personnel there and they can "escort them" is that enough to put that card underneath as well?

Thank you,

No, because that one specifically says it's placed with the captive as a trap. If you want to escort, that's fine, but it doesn't put the dilemma back under.

Beverly might not have been the best example. Although there are certainly others who have [Cmd] stars and have no business leading an attack.

In the end, I think you just have to dismiss it as a game conceit. Since, yeah, I would agree it is slightly ridiculous for the crew to follow McKnight over her. Luckily, Officers and Leadership folks are pretty common.

I think this response somehow ended up on the wrong thread? From last year?

And it appears to be a comment about Beverly Crusher from premier.

Wasn't there another recent thread necro from a one post wonder which had nothing to do with the thread it was in?

Found it!
Confused random comment.
And I am almost certain I have seen these actual posts before, as a part of something someone else was saying. But I don't know how to search for it (I guarantee Beverly/McKnight will be too common, but maybe Syntax...)

I'll get this thread back on track.

Sleeper Trap > Cardassian Processing. That would gaurantee there is an away team to take control of the captive to keep it a wall.

Does this work? Can 2 dudes on a ship 'take custody' of a captive on a planet or on an opponent's ship? How does that even work mechanically?
