Hey guys and gals

Last year it was Borg solvers, the year before it was TNG Death Yell Klingons, now my next deck project for the year is starting to take shape, using certain cards which aren't used often. However I'm looking at what skills to include for wall Dilemmas; Planet, Space or both

What walls do you commonly add to your deck? What walls do you find you encounter the most?

Any feedback from as much of you as possible, listing answers to the above questions, will help me build a very fun deck

(Hint: It's NOT a Borg deck)

Ta muchly

:D

Ideally, a team that is attempting Planet for the first time can pass Hanonian Land Eel and Ferengi Infestation (2 Security, 1 Science, and decent stats), plus the mission skills for Lack of Preperation.

For space, I want 2 Diplomacy, 2 Security, and the mission skills. This is looking out for the same walls, but also Gomtuu Shock Wave.

If I want a deck to go to space early, I put lots of Officer, Navigation, and Diplomacy in the deck and a decent amount of Astrophysics. If I want it to go to planet, I usually seed a Science (with maybe Assign Mission Specialists) and a Security and then make the deck have a decent amount of Security.

I expect to see Friendly Fire and Linguistic Legerdemain quite often, but those aren't a problem if hit on Turn 2, they're more of a problem late game.

I also only look for Hanonian, Lack, Gomtuu for the first attempt ... the rest can be done along the way. Mostly I check to do Hanonian with an even number of people and add a phaser or something to be prepared for the Flapjacks as well.

Well, I sure am glad that somebody noticed!

This is a new feature (for everyone, with their real name in their tournament profile) that Maelwys implemented in response to on of the criticisms in the board review.

How you can get yours:

Go to User Control Panel -> Profile -> Bottom Line : display real name.

That man deserves a 1000% raise.

Anyway, topic. I Hate You has made a small local resugence. I have really been enjoying Exec Authorization lately, too -- people stopped playing it and preparing for it.

Now I just need to make a tournament profile.

I also notice our new mods have bolded names for threads they created or made the last post in. Now I know who to kiss up to and offer burnt sacrifices onto.

O mods, accept the ashes of my Van Orton...

The problem there is that since, ostensibly, he came from a TNG episode, he'd break Reshape the Quadrant.

I suppose one COULD run a TNG deck with a Nor in it, but that'd be a little weird.

In The Pale Moonlight

These are the highly annoying walls I make sure I have sufficient answers for in my decks. IMO, this is what makes the difference between a well crafted deck, and a deck made of "free report salad".

Failing all else, I also try to include at least 1 form of skill cheating. It's really OK for loads of people to die to flapjacks, and have missions hit with Friendly Fire in the early game, so long as you are clearing out missions and can come back later with mission + wall skills.
