I didn't see a thread about this already and I kind of wanted to vent my frustrations a bit.
I don't know many people that have ordered this subscription service (short summary: model starships sent to you twice a month) but the couple of people I know that did have had very positive experiences. I kept hearing them advertised on the Mission Log podcast, so I gave in and signed up a couple months ago. Here are my experiences so far:
* Starship #1 (Enterprise-D) arrived one month ago, damaged. One of the warp nacelles was broken off in the package. I wrote to customer service. They said they would send a replacement within one to two weeks. It has now been four weeks. They actually told me not to contact them again unless I didn't receive it within FIVE weeks - but I contacted them anyway, see below.
* This month, I received ships #3 (B'rel) and #4 (NX-01). Ship #2 (NCC-1701) appears to have been skipped. I wrote customer service again asking why it was skipped - I also mentioned that I'm still waiting on my replacement #1. I wrote them one week ago and have received no response.
* Minor nitpick, but included with ships #3 and #4 was an IOU (!) for a free gift that was supposed to arrive with those ships.
