Since we've got Kevin Uxbridge as a personnel I figured we should have his opposite done as well.

[Fed] [NA] Amanda
SCIENCE
Female raised on Earth by adopted parents, didn't know she was a Q. Accepted into starfleet as a cadet. Held degrees in neurobiology, plasma dynamics and eco regeneration. Likes dogs.
[SD] Physics [SD] Biology [SD] Youth [SD] Geology
[SD] Once per turn may download any non personnel card with 'Amanda' in the title or Countermanda
Integrity 7 Cunning 9 Strength 4

The special skill is worded in this way because there are two other personnel with Amanda in their name and it makes no sense to let her download them. Likewise the event Amanda Rogers: Protector exists so it had to be expanded to more than interrupts (Amanda Rogers and the already mentioned Countermanda.) There are also two Q event cards that have Amanda in the title Amanda's Parents and Jealous Amanda.

Nice. I'd rather see [SD] SCIENCE (i.e. as a skill) -- and CIV classification, since she was an intern -- but that's too much text and too much total functionality -- so it's good how you did it. :twocents:

A slight lore upgrade (same content, but revisions for atmosphere/effect):
Raised on Earth by adoptive parents. Interned on U.S.S. Enterprise, unaware she was a Q. Cadet accepted into Starfleet. Degrees in neurobiology, plasma dynamics and eco regeneration. Likes dogs.
"She" already indicates "female".

I quickly tested it -- both our lores don't easily fit into the lore box, even when the regular 3 rows. And given her skills, we may need a 3 row skill box. :shifty: SNAFU.

But hey -- is your addition of her being a cadet a fan fiction addition? Because IIRC (which is a long stretch!) she was not a cadet but an intern (which I liked to add), and that could make her lore a lot easier to fit:
Raised on Earth by adoptive parents. Unaware she was a Q, interned with Starfleet on U.S.S. Enterprise. Degrees in neurobiology, plasma dynamics and eco regeneration. Likes dogs.

Testing...

Nope, still lore + skills don't comfortably fit on the card together. At all. :P

But this process -- making my concepts fit in a card -- usually takes hours and hours for me, across a number of days... :shifty: I'm not one to kill my darlings... :?

But what I usually do (since I'm heavy on the lore -- not important for game, but very important part of my DCs) is skimp on the skills. And in this case, I really think that having one Amanda Rogers per turn is really too strong anyways. So I could live with 1 or 2 [DL] . 8)

But imma spend days on this, if I don't quit now. Nice to have cooperated, though! :cheersL:

I definitely like the download ability for sure.

It looks good at first glance. I will look back over it.

After reading about her a little bit.

My suggestions are below up for debate of course.

May nullified warp core breach once per game.
If with dr Beverly crusher they are both +2 to all attributes.

Yes Amanda didn't help crushers attributes in the show. They need to be linked somehow though. You also got to think kirk gets buff for being with spock and mccoy.

Just 2 ideas to get us going here.

I did consider the civilian route but I kind of hate that classification lol. According to the trek wiki she was accepted into Starfleet academy.

Lore is great and sometimes helpful (uss Enterprise does have game use) but skills are where a character really matters.

The only thing I hate is youth mission specialist. It is almost useless in the game. There is so many of them.

I posted my 2 ideas. Otherwise I do like your card.

I have two problems with nullifying Warp Core Breach. The first is it's so easy to stop it, with one Engineer, and you have a turn to stop it from destroying the ship. If you leave spacedock without at least two Engineers you're asking for trouble anyway. The second one is that there is a Q card, Into The Breach that already does that. In theory I could allow her to download that in some fashion.

The second one does make a bit of sense but honestly it's too generic, it's like the default special skill.

I understand about warp core breach. I have a personnel that [DL] it. It sits in my tent the whole game. Since I know my opponent can get passed it. So just taking up time. Star trek is long enough already.

I honestly miss default abilities. Kor for example. Tasha armed with phaser is better than a [DL] phaser ability. I tried to make a deck based on that kind of ability in the game. There is not enough of them.
