Welcome to today's First Edition Friday Question, where I'm going to ask you a question about 1E... on Friday. Not the most creatively named segment, but it works. One of these days, this deadpan intro won't be funny to me, but that day is not today! And hey, at least you know what's going to happen.
Two weeks ago, I asked about characteristics in the game that need some love, and last week I wanted to know which card you thought deserved an alternate image. Today, we're going to do something really different and ask you what you think about a card in development.
WARNING: This thread will contain spoilers for a card that may appear in an upcoming expansion. If you aren't interested in that, please don't read on. The actual card is hidden, but might not be in the replies. Don't worry, we'll be back next week with a new, spoiler-free question.
Here's the card as it stands right now:
What do you think of this card?
Recently, there's been an uptick in talk about public playtesting, showing behind the scenes cards to the public, and getting more feedback. I got to thinking about today's question, and thought it might be a good opportunity to test out doing just that. So what you can see above, if you click into the spoiler, is an interrupt that's currently in a design file. It's being playtested, but we thought we could share it with you and let you discuss it. You can pick it apart, talk about how you'll use it (or why you wouldn't), theorycraft, and more.
This is your chance to see a card in development and give feedback on it, and our chance to see how something like that will go on the small scale. So what do you think of [SPOILER] above?
Have a great weekend! We're looking forward to seeing your discussions on this card. And if you want to playtest it, go ahead - let us know about that!
