Well, I almost forgot, but it's still Friday, so there's still time to ask a Friday question. And today's question is timely, because we're about to start figuring out the promo for Project Storm, the DS9 themed set that's due out early next year. And since we just did an experiment with promos with A Private Little War, now seems like a good time to get initial feedback.

Do you want to see more reprints as set promos?

Traditionally, when we make a new virtual expansion, the release promo (available in The Promenade) is an alternate image version of a card in the expansion. For example, the release promo for The Cage was an AI version of Preserver Obelisk. But for A Private Little War, we decided to do an AI of Captain Koloth instead. This let us provide a nice, high res version of him since there wasn't a new Koloth in the expansion.

So the question today is - what do you think of doing more reprints as set promos? Is it something you'd want to see all the time? On special occasions? Rarely? Or maybe never at all? Vote in the poll above, and please weigh in with a reply as well.

The Release Promo is something coming out from the new set IMO, and it should be one of the new cards (because it's a RELEASE promo). Nevertheless if it perfectly fits like this time it's just fine...

1. The new set already has a nice, high-res version of all of its cards by definition.
2. There are still plenty of old cards that do not
3. There's enough old cards that finding one to fit whatever theme you are doing for the new set shouldn't be hard.

As a release promo, for some reason I feel it would be nice to get an alternate image for a card in the set.

Maybe if there are perfect fits of older cards, I wouldn't mind seeing them (actually would think that's great!), but then maybe as promo-release in the weeks leading up to the expansion?

I love updates to the older card images. And if we can make it match like the Koloth promo so much the better.

Bonus points if there isn't a set releasing the same day and it can be a preview of sorts like Telle was.
