I officially did not know that.

Not sure, though, on which levels it is wrong? Her rank, yes. Why else, Boffo? (Please answer as funnily as you can.)

There is the fact that he's a commanding officer and what seems to be a pretty major age difference.

Also, poor Beverly. :P

That's the least of Picard's worries. His brother Robert, probably impotent from too much...I don't know...wine?, cloned Jean-Luc and named the clone Rene. That's why Rene looks exactly like (read: was played by the same actor as) the young Picard from "Rascals."

Now fast-forward to Nemesis. And for the second time, Picard finds out a clone of himself has been killed. That explains why he just sort of clammed up until Data showed up.

At least in that case they point out that the torpedo is travelling at warp 9 (without engines, wibbly-wobbly-warpy-wimey). The question there becomes, if you can get in capsule and get shipped at warp 9, why on earth would you spend hours in a shuttlecraft?

The relevant part for this thread is from the opening theme song:
"If you're wondering how he eats and breathes
And other science facts
Then repeat to yourself 'It's just a show,
I should really just relax.'"
Related is Bellisario's Maxim (the creator of Quantum Leap, among others) - "Don't examine this too closely".

Yeah.

:shifty:

You know you're quoting that on a forum about a Star Trek themed CCG which after years is still maintained by a bunch of middle-aged nerdy people, right? 8)
