Our art team never ceases to amaze me. On occasion, the OP team gives them some direction but I would guess 9 times out of 10 we pitch a card idea to AI and let them run with it. I believe this year's Tribble promo for Regionals went something like this...

10 - Replay: something with Jemmies on it. Dealers choice!

And look what we got!

Now that you mention it:
After a few clicks back and forth between the old and the new card:
The Affiliation icons are wrong positioned (too close too each other)
The Font is too thick (the bold text looks to thick/black)
The Gametext is still starting at the wrong position (too much left and up)
The distance between requirements and text is too huge
The Mission Points are not positioned right
The gray area on top right of the Template, where the 2 lines of Name are, goes too far to the end of the card

But hey, at least the image is okay.

Only you seem to care about this.

Okay, I can tell those differences when I click between the cards. But absent that side-by-side comparison, I would never have noticed these minor details.

The image itself? Incredible. I don't usually care much about foil promos because I usually print cards as needed, but this one I might actually chase. Not only is the image great, the fact that it is a mission means I get to see this pretty card the whole game long.

.

Missions are one of my favorite promos. This one is nice..

Also I'd love to see borderless missions or horizontal format missions, like SWCCG locations, that would be cool.

:)

I never thought about that. But now that I do, I can't stop thinking about that.

YES PLEASE!

I'm ok with full screen missions.

I'm not so sure about horizontal missions.

I still struggle with the Genesis versions of the Enterprise and Queens Borg Sphere.

I wouldn't force that on people. I'm thinking more AI versions of existing cards.

Agreed. I'm OCD about orderliness of my playing surface and horizontal cards mess with all of the nice spacing and organization.
