If i complete A Good Day To Live with two copies of Kor (Because I cloned him), do I score 40 points, or does that violate the Cumulative Rule? Note it doesn't say the red [NemR] have to be "different".

I'd give it to you, because at that point you earned it.

Not sure if the rules agree though. :P

Of course the REASON it didn't say different was that Clone Machine didn't exist yet.

As to the actual question, I'd be initially inclined to say it does NOT work. One of the example effects subject to the cumulative rule as described in the Glossary is "generating benefits (such as card draws or points) for a player," and this looks close enough to generating points that I think it would fall under the rule.

I agree with Jebus - its says each which means its just looking at the personnel and asking if they have the correct icon or not. I dont think cumulative is even implicated here because nothing else is being implicated - not uniqueness, there is no targeting, etc.

Your cloned copies count, each of them, because it does not say 'different' - it just names the icon.

Go for it and show us that it's OP.

Anyone who sees this rarely used mission knows that dilemmas belong primarily under this bad boy, because it will become a high point mission either way.

No one has won a tournament with this mission for 10 years; and Clone Machine did exist back then.

Unless anyone 'breaks' this card, there is no reason to assume it is over the top.

I'd love to see someone make this a 70-point mission by cloning all the Blood Oath people.

Not gonna happen ...
The amount of work involved is way too high.

Keep in mind that you have to ...
- spend 4 normal card draws to download the guys
- have the appropriate copy in hand to play it to Clone Machine and spend 4 card plays on them

Cost-analysis:
For the price of 4 card plays, you can get a LOT more than those 20 extra points you would get from them ... IF they survive solving the mission.

Sure, but that's not really the point in an exercise like this, is it?

It kinda is - showing that this setup isn't terribly effective as a point gaining tool is a good step towards calming worries about this being too good.

At 5 points per card, it's way easier to just throw those Klingons with Honor into a meat grinder and Klingon Death Yell 'em. :)

I wasn't concerned about "Is this too good or not?" A lot of times, queries about oddball cases like are more "Because I can" than any concern about them being busted.

If a card could be used in a way that could be viewed as broken, but doing so requires playing a deck that is otherwise much weaker, so much so that the broken aspect does not make it strong enough to be competitive, is the card really broken?
