By the time I played in my first tournament it was 1997 and PAQ was in full force.

Before then, Trying to build decks to play with my buddies worked because sure it was a shitshow but none of us knew what we were doing so it was a balanced shitshow!

@doctorjoya thanks for a fun match with shared missions and way to much Shaka! It was close until Horga'hn kicked in.

Thanks to the organizers for putting together this tournament! It was a nostalgia-filled lesson in the wackiness of how games used to be that I'm thoroughly glad we've progressed beyond.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's decks and good luck in the next Mission to Talos event in February!

I played in the Open Constructed event in the 2020 Talos IV series. It did a great job of reminding me why I retired from 1e after 2002 Worlds and didn't come back until OTF/Modern in 2012/2013ish.
