Thank you for grabbing the torch, you good man.

I'm unlikely to make it. In-laws out of town and wife working Saturdays has left me with unexpected amounts of parenting, and totaled car has made transit difficult, but I will try and figure things out come March.

(Not giving up on this event yet, either.)

We seem to be holding steady with 4 pre-reg'd. Anyone else that can make it a 6-pack or more challenge? @Iron Prime, and / or @phaserihardlyknowher, and / or @CrimsonRavage , and / or @PantsOfTheTalShiar , etc.?

I am probably a no for this tournament and others in the near future. Saturday mornings are probably the most likely for me, but I couldn't have done a Sat morning this weekend, either.

Bummer. You will be missed. Anyone else think they can join us? Should still be fun if it is just the 4 of us. If for some reason you are reading this and either can now make or can now not make it, please pre-register / unregister so I know who to look for tomorrow. Hope to see you there! :cheersL:

Attention members of the Frozen Chosen!

I am looking to get our next casual / league gig scheduled. How do the weekends of March 22 / 23 or March 29 / 30 work for you? What do we want to play? More constructed? Another cube draft? Let's hear it!

I've been cleared for both weekends.

Is anyone in the mood for Warp Speed Constructed? We've never done that before, but it seems like it might be fun.

(If not, Constructed seems nice to me but only because I missed the last Constructed event.)

What card pool for Warp Speed Constructed? The recommended one? (Voyager Property minus Modern bans and two other bans)

Time for my monthly post to say that I see these posts, I want to play, but my schedule is chaos. Don't plan for me, but I'll try to join if I can. I probably can't run a cube draft anytime soon.

We could theoretically do a 2E constructed or sealed gig too (I have the product) if there is interest. If not, I kind of like the idea of 1E Warp Speed if only because we would play fast and then be able to do Tribbles afterwards.

What are the rules / deck building requirements for that? @BCSWowbagger has anyone ever played that format before? I thought they did in Chicago but can't find that tournament. :?

EDIT: Never mind, I found it finally. If anyone is curious, here is that gig from a few years ago: https://www.trekcc.org/tournament/?mode ... ntID=12086

There were also some rules changes after we made our suggestions to James. They should be reflected here:

I don't know the Constructed WS rules, my exposure was the WS Cube Draft. If there's a limited card pool, I'd need to know about it.

I can see the need to ban Full Compliment of Shuttles. Not sure why you would ban Med Crisis.

Follow up question would be if we ran this, are we worried about using the Superior Surgical cards? That deck would still be significantly hampered by being only [Vid] , and I am not sure the added draw really helps. More concerned about the added play one, but maybe I am just a nervous nelly?

The landscape of Voyager cards has changed a bit since the rules changed. So it's up to you. It's a recommendation for the pool as it was then, not a set-in-stone rule.

I would be curious to see how it affects the format. Including the Surgical cards might be healthy for it, from what I remember. But... there's also that chance that they turn out to be the new "pace car" for speed in the format. I could see Surgicals being a good counter to Shuttle drop.

You might want to exclude "evening up" from Surgical draw-matching, though.
