Since it's been officially announced in the Organized Play Stream, here's your thread for Kaiserfest VII, which will once more serve as European Continental Championship for 1E.

The main event will take place on Saturday, August 17th, 11:30am with the usual routine of friendly get-together/side event Trek starting Friday afternoon.

If you can't make it this year (maybe because it clashes with your plans to travel to Worlds in SF two weeks later?), don't forget that there's what's shaping up to be another great event in the area next month: German Nationals

OP people (@LORE ? / @Clerasil_ToB ?), please flag this as Continentals :)

Preparations are slooowly beginning. As always, we need a trashy theme. How about this:

Kaiserfest Se7en
red-shirting...bonus-point abuse...rules-lawyering...spamming [1E-Int] ...playing [Fed] ...[see your 1E pet peeve here!]
Are you strong enough to resist the temptation of the seven cardinal sins of 1E?

As always, there will be an official poster for the event, and YOU! THE ONE WHO IS READING THIS NOW! can have your say on the tagline!

What's your personal 1E pet peeve?
Is it bonus points?
Red-Shirting?
Long turns?
Stalling?
Seeding less than 24 dilemmas?
Dilemma bug-out?
The Borg's special dilemma treatment?
The secret 1E cabal's crusade to bring death to the [Ref] mechanic..? :shifty:

Show us some love for Kaiserfest Se7en (maybe send some cards as prize support, or be a Follower of The One, @LORE, who paypals us some beer money, or just donate to a charity that's dear to you, and I will put your 1E pet peeve on the poster as one of the seven cardinal sins.

I'll probably have a special prize for the highest-finishing deck that does not commit any of the seven winning sins.

2 questions:

1. I'm in the central USA...is there a Lacky component to this?
2. What if I can do it without 6/7 sins? 24 dilemma is a tough number to hit.

I can understand 6 oder the 7 things named ... but 24 LESS than dilemmas?

Is that a 'bad' thing?

Most people play with 18 dilemmas, so playing with 24 is rather an exception.

(Railway tickets bought, as well as hotel room booked ... yeah)

If you haven't done so, submit your pet peeve to appear as one of the 7 deadly sins on this year's KF promo card. (This is not an official card, so no need to get the wording 100% correct, and we could also squeeze in an 8th line. Just tell me what annoys you when somebody does it in 1E, and the suggestions that come with the most/best bribes will make it on the card.)

I appreciate the sentiment, but so far I have failed to incorporate this into how the cards works at the moment. But I'll keep trying!

The STCCG scene is in uproar. A prominent Romulan Senator stands accused of using cheesy tactics, and thus committing some of the cardinal sins of 1E, to succeed at Trek.
Therefore, Section Dirty-One has dispatched Inquisitor Julius to try his devious enhanced interrogation techniques on the Senator in order to get to the bottom of this scandal.
Will the Senator succumb to the hard questioning?
Will the Inquisitor (ab)use his special privileges, seize the day, and install himself as new Kaiserfest Champion?
And will the near-mythical Cardinal Beergles make an appearance?

Things have taken a bad turn here. You might have seen the news re: record flooding in the area, tl;dr it could have been a lot worse for us, but we suffered a good amount of damage. How much exactly we're still assessing, but it looks like we won't be able to use the game room for Trek and as a place to crash this year.
We should still be able to find space for all the games we need as of today somehow, and beds for those who have contacted me about it so far, but beyond that, it'll have to be Hirschi's (or your own) Tent.
