• This is the main event of Kaiserfest 2022: OTF constructed, complete card pool, four rounds.
• This tournament will serve as the European Continental Championship 2022
• The winner will receive the traditional Kaiserfest Beer Stein
• As usual, expect considerable downtime between rounds for spontaneous games of pool volleyball, darts, beer pong, etc.
• Weißwurstfrühstück before the tournament around 11:00
• BBQ/Italian/Indian in the evening
• Limited space for people to crash at the venue, please get in touch early if you need a bed/couch/floorspace.
• The closest hotels are Infinity Munich and Hotel Alarun; both hotels are about 2.5 km (~25 minute walk) from the venue, usually pickup can be arranged. A significantly cheaper option is Haimhausers Hotel Garni, which is located in nearby Haimhausen. Again, pickup can be arranged.
• The closest short distance train connection is S-Bahn stop Lohhof on the S1 line between Munich airport (15 minutes) and Munich central station (27 minutes); trains run every 20 minutes, pickup from S-Bahn Lohhof can be arranged.
• As always, a warm-up event on Friday night will be offered, too, exact card pool and format to be decided, but most likely OTSD Sealed (plus additional booster, depending on product available)
Please note: Pre-registration is mandatory. It looks like covid regulations won't be an issue in August, but adherence to the local regulations at the time, whatever they may be, will be necessary.
Also, while the venue will provide enough table-space for the expected turnout, the maximum capacity (assuming bad weather and playing outside on the patio is not an option) will be 20 players (or 26 if table-space per game is reduced to 90cm instead of 120cm). Priority will be given to pre-registered players. |
