Taking a page from US Nationals West, we're going to hold our first Collector's Tin Draft, drafting a silver border Premiere set plus numerous cards from Premiere, Alternate Universe, Q-Continuum, TNG Block, and other virtual cards.
This will be a long event - be prepared!
This event is event #2 of our league playoffs, to take place immediately AFTER Tribbles at 11 am.
Collector's Tin Draft Rules (my version):
Step One
Each player will be given one random TNG-Block starter, excluding Ferengi.
Each player will be given a random (but matching) Warp Core card.
Each player will be given a random "Shades of Gray" dilemma-enhancing card.
Each player will receive the following support cards (SUBJECT TO CHANGE):
Alternate Universe Door
Dyson Sphere Door
Q-Flash x2
Q's Tent
Step Two
All players will, one at a time, choose a single silver-bordered Premiere card from the collector's tin.
Random printable dilemmas will be inserted behind each Premiere dilemma, but no other cards will be hidden in this way.
Banned cards will be marked, and errata'd cards will have the errata text associated.
This draft will continue until 320-330 of the Silver-Bordered Premiere cards have been selected. (Exact number to be determined by number of players.)
The remaining cards will become part of the prize pool.
Step Three
Players will break into pods (if necessary) to draft one Premiere booster, two Alternate Universe boosters, one Q-Continuum booster, then four "Enhanced PAQ" virtual boosters (containing an assortment of virtual cards with the TNG property logo, excluding Ferengi).
Step Four
Players will have one hour to construct a deck in preparation for a five (5) round OTF tournament.
