I wrote the deck I drafted so I could post it to share since this was the first time this format has been played. The draft has a lot of potential. I really enjoyed being able to play a complete 5 round game of tribbles without having to do all the preparation.
The five us of didn't have clear idea what would make a good drafting strategy. Each pack had some 1s and 10s by design so I figured I'd come back to the low cards later. I tried to take score, poison and battle thinking it could score me some points no matter what. I also tried to get enough 100ks early so I'd be able to play some big cards. After we drafted, we all decied to shuffle what we drafted and go.
At the same time I both liked and disliked the randomness to the tribble powers. It was difficult at times to get a rhythm going. since there wasn't as much consistency. That's not really a complaint though since it was a nice change from well oiled decks.
Josh won the tournament scoring and going out twice with big money Antidotes. I had a few 1k and 10k poisons but most of my points came from going out in one round.
In the end it was a rather low scoring game. Either we never got in a great groove or without focused decks drafts will all be lower scoring than constructed games. We had a few times around the table where we were in search of a 1.
