Introduction |
You play a DQ deck and expect to be all alone out there. Nope, I had company in every single game. |

Round 1 | | VictoryIsLife | ML (-4) |
Over in the AQ, VIL had a Combined Strike deck using Turbolift, Process Ore, and Process Ore Mining for draw management. After a few turns, he started attempts at Maquis Activity, getting stuck on Nano for several turns. Eventually he solved it for 35. In the DQ, he used The Walls Have Ears to report a Founder Agitator, who started infiltrating, and then used Covert Agent for some more draws. I went for Hadara, and after a few turns I solved, bringing only holograms … and VIL pointed out that his infiltrator was part of the away team too. There go the boosted points! Solve was only 35, with AMS Brahms. His 4 points from POM were the edge in a ML 35-39. |

Round 2 | | Sebastian Kirstein | MW (+50) |
Another interference deck! Seppel's Battle Stations deck (also using what's left of Hexany, FWIW) loaded up his Ent-E with tons of EE people, boosting its stats to high levels, then used Obsession to free-play a Mem-Wipe to make it NA. Wormholed it the DQ, and attacked my ships! Moreover, Space Amoeba kept flying around, lowering all my stats to 5. I couldn't even stick to planet missions due to Buried Alive. I did escape one battle with Dauntless/QSD, then turtled for a bit. He moved away to lull me, and I sent a ship the other direction for a space attempt … then sent my other 3 ships to the same location, so that any attack would meet the full fleet. And he did, blowing up Voyager – and I returned fire with all of my Weapons-5 ships – and he used Make It So to download Picard Maneuver as his tactic. It was a gamble – 50/50 chance of he blows up and is out of the game, or I miss and he keeps picking me off. Well, I missed. Next turn, I was able to pass the last dilemma there and solve, but only by putting almost everyone into one crew, and using Harry's RT to make Leah an Astro mission specialist, getting by Spatial Rift and also boosting Return Lifeform to 50. Seppel blew up that crew next turn, and neither of us was able to do anything important afterwards. MW 50-0. |

Round 3 | | Jarrod Cafaro | FL (-65) |
Delta Quadrant neighbors this time. Jarrod's Kazon deck had 3 DQ planets and 3 AQ missions, so I shorted his AQ planet to 2 dils and loaded up to put 4 at each of his space. Then, not fully thinking, I attempted one of my low-point missions, and lost a ship and good crew to V'Ger. I had trouble recovering from that, never getting another ship or a holodeck door or another swap again (I had done just one). He solved a planet, then came and stole my 45-point space mission (with a hilarious moment where he gaave me a Kazon Pod with FastShip, then post-solve rammed it with another Pod to commandeer it back). Then off to the AQ (via MissionII), he solved the shorted planet mission, for a FL 100-35. |

Closing Thoughts |
I had a lot of fun with this deck in fishbowl games. But as they say, no plan survives contact with the enemy. I suppose it needs more tweaking before it belongs in prime time. |
