Andromulans V2.0 |
Introduction |
Decided to recycle my TNG Romulan deck from last year, but with some small modifications, such as landable ships. |
|
Round 1 | | Sebastian Kirstein | FW (+20) |
Seppel was playing a Starfleet solver so this boiled down to a straight solver vs solver speed race! He also had multiple STP so he picked up a ship and then dropped a massive crew! We both solved two missions, but thanks to Genesis that was enough for me to win. |

Round 2 | | Ensign q | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Q was playing Hack’n’Slash. Luckily I’d drawn into Hidden Fighter so was able to eventually get past Mila on the planet. I’d solved Evade Sensors to earn Genesis but Q stopped me with Mission Debriefing and beamed over to slaughter everyone. He left the Genesis Device there so I snuck back to grab it. Between cloaking, landing, ship hopping and just letting some people die, I eventually managed to get the win! |
paddy is attempting turn 1, i go second, so there is no mission debriefing yet.
dont remember what he triggered, but i think it was mila. again i forget to put a bodyguard to her side, so she gets killed later by a landed crew.
t2 paddy earns genesis device and closes the game t4.
i get to kill a couple crews, but 3 ships are enough to move crews around and cloak them. |

Round 3 | | Matthew Zinno | FW (+35)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Matt was playing These Are the Voyages with Starfleet Holos mixed with Fed TNG. Fortunately my Planet combos slowed him down enough to let me draw into a second Archaeology to get through his Quantum Leap, and I had cleared Iconia in advance, but was waiting for the stopped Archaeologists to come solve it, so I sent a small fleet to attack his ship to either damage him or return his ship to hand and deny him LSWOT draws. He opted to return to hand and while he could solve a second mission, couldn’t then reach a third, so I picked up the win. |
Like in my first-round game, my opponent had a large region: The Neutral Zone, for TNG Roms. I had successes at dilemmas early, fortunately passing both Jol Yichu (Nik+Emory) and White Rabbit (Arik+Emory), to solve a space but get stopped by Medical Crisis at a planet. That's a tough one for this deck, I need to draw into certain meatbags for the Biology, and the MED is not easy either (especially with some equippable people lost to DNP). I tried the other planet, losing more to HLE. Paddy passed fewer dilemmas on their first encounter,
and sometimes had to wait multiple turns for the skills he needed, but did eventually pass Nano and Rift and QL, to first solve a space mission (getting a Cryo with a Genesis Device) and clear a planet. Now Paddy had his win sewn up on the next turn (Genesis Device at a cleared mission), and all I could manage on this final turn was to solve one cleared mission (I could alternately have passed HLE, though that wouldn't clear it) to finish at only two solves. |

Closing Thoughts |
TNG Romulans are still a damn solid and fast solver deck. The Region rules now changing would mean I have less control over which missions go where now though. |
