It's Our Time... It's Our Time Down Here |
Introduction |
I had nearly finished a Vulcan deck to try out at this tournament when the errata to Vulcan Mindmeld came down and blew it up, so I audibled to TNG Klingon as I didn't have enough time to build something else brand new from scratch. Despite taking the early BYE, it was a fun afternoon with the 1E new blood. |

Round 1 | | Bye | BY (0) |
I read my latest library book, Treasure Island, which I picked up shortly after my wife and I finished watching the 4 season / 40 episode Starz drama Black Sails. Apparently, that awesome show is actually a prequel to this children's book. Who knew? |

Round 2 | | Robert Petersen | FW (+43) |
The Prodigy was dealing TOS era Feds, but was held in check as my forces were right in between his time location and outpost. After he got stuck behind a Quantum Incursions, I relieved him of his ship at Agricultural Assessment shortly before K'Mtar cleared The Clown: Beneath the Mask to win it. FW 100-57. |

|
Round 3 | | Jason Tang | FW (+65) |
JTG was rocking TNG era Feds, and had five fully loaded missions thanks to duplicating Reported Activity, where we both seeded light. I went for it on turn 3 only to lose Gowron to Spatial Rift and somehow NOT find Dead End. Then he tried it and got locked up by Chula: The Game. Swooping in to solve it seemed to tilt the game in my favor, and with some help from a T'Ong drop I was able to wrap up at Wormhole Negotiations. FW 100-35. |

Closing Thoughts |
The game with Jason was completely crazy. He kept banging his head against QI in space despite using Make it So to try it twice a turn, and I went into plan D mode after unceremoniously losing Gowron to a non-kill dilemma, which had me scrambling to find Nu'Daq and get him back into play with Dig. |
