Glad I Never Killed You, Steve... You're All Right |
Introduction |
Considering King of the Ring is fast approaching, it seemed only fitting that the assembled Champions return to the site of the first n.W.o. Worlds, albeit 6+ years removed. Intent on chasing down the elusive TNG victor feat, I went to war with a Cadet deck that combined the best parts of all previous incarnations. |

Round 1 | | Jeremy Benedict | FW (+65) |
The Razor was orchestrating Dominion, but was strong armed into Plan B mode early thanks to my Reg / Phoenix party trick. Despite taking drop stops from Outclassed, Unwanted Guests, and finally Gorgan, eventually the dam broke in the face of my double teams on the ground. FW 100-35. |

The Original Champion was also angling on abusing Cadets, and similarly had a rude opening draw. With Insurrection and WNOHGB hanging him up for ages, a Kirk led 18-man hard way shot at Avert Danger won me this installment of an ongoing rivalry with my brother from another mother. FW 100-35. |
mirror match for the ages with bad starts on both sides of the table. |
|
Round 3 | | Matthew Hayes | FW (+100) |
The Animal was attempting Romulan, but couldn’t keep pace with my clown car creation as I hit up Practice Orbital Maneuvers on turn 2. After leveling him with an early WNOHGB, finishing up both the match and the tournament became academic for the Red Squad. FW 100-0. |

Closing Thoughts |
While options for Fractured Time, Dangerous Missions, and Legacy leave much to be desired, earning the sets 1 through 25 dilemma pile victor achievement wasn't really all that tough to pull off. Surprisingly, Revelry worked like a mini-Dreamer in round 1, and Chula: The Precipice connected the only time I gave it. |
