Introduction |
Six months of local league play culminated in a final showdown where any of three competitors could walk away with the title. And in a fitting showcase of off-season B-side designs, on this day the clown car creation that is Dissident Borg had just enough moxy to make league victors out of the Collective. |

Round 1 | | Steve Nelson | FW (+100) |
The Full Nelson was again dealing Maquis, but had no answer for an early barrage of 14 free personnel courtesy of The New Resistance. Once Korok bypassed an Artificial Wormhole at Battle Reconnaissance, the remainder of the match was academic. FW 100-0. |

Round 2 | | Justin Kaufman | ML (-35)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Crimson was piloting Terok Nor, and deftly dodged both copies of Tactical Disadvantage at Kressari Rendezvous. With time running out and dilemmas stacked under two different missions, I was stone walled at each by An Issue of Trust and our local ambassador took the win on victory conditions. ML 65-30. |
I had a great opening hand against Kris. I got Weyoun, Dukat, all the Bat'leth's and Ruling Councils early. I was able to solve Kressari Rendezvous for 65 points. Kris was able to solve a mission, but my dilemmas were able to prevent him from getting a second one. |

Round 3 | | Jeremy Benedict | FW (+50) |
The Razor was orchestrating 2-mission win Cadet, but was hung up in space for ages due to Infinite Diversity and a double shot of Tactical Disadvantage. Despite my gimmick being largely grounded, First shrugged off An Issue of Trust at Hunt Alien to lock up both the game and a league victory. FW 100-50. |

Closing Thoughts |
Winning our local league on tie-breakers is a bit surreal, especially considering I did not win any of the four playoff events. Still, there is something to be said for consistency over a broad spectrum, and in this case my long standing habit of finishing in the top three of a given tournament regardless of format paid off. |
