Props to both The Razor and The Genius for laying the ground work of the design, and to all of the tournament attendees for making it such a memorable trip. While his Acquisition themed dilemma pile gave me fits at Navigate Argolis Cluster, Nog and Ohhhh! Nothing Happened! eventually arrived on scene to crack the code. FW 100-30. Round 2 Preston Holida ML (-25) High Energy was also running Relativity, and benefited greatly from a trifecta of ONH! misfires. Despite taking a double shot of Moral Choice and triple shot of Well-Prepared Defenses, I had an opportunity to win it in over time but neglected to Kirk past a perfectly placed Coolant Leak. ML 95-70. Round 3 Keith Rupp FW (+70) Killer was trying out Dominion infiltration, but lost a ship early to a decaying Energize and never recovered. Staked to a three turn lead, I cruised through Avert Danger and then stayed airborne the remainder of the match in order to avoid his Founder Trap shenanigans. FW 100-30. Closing Thoughts As a strong supporter of playing until a winner is determined and no further, I am quite pleased the group voted to forgo a fourth round and instead opted for open gaming and socializing around the BBQ. Big Kev earned his undefeated record, and with my prior loss I simply didn't deserve a title shot against him on this day.
