Introduction Intent on chasing down the elusive TNG Fed victor achievement, I took to the airwaves for an online iteration of the SummerSlam PPV. Despite a few dicey moments, dilemmas invariably held my opponents out just long enough for the Admiralty to navigate their way to a first place finish. Round 1 Jordan Smith FW (+100) Stardust was rocking TNG Romulan, but was slower out of the gate as LSWOT fueled four Fed free plays per turn from the onset. Losing a Runabout with all hands surprisingly proved to be only a minor setback, as Kirk & Co. then side stepped a Quantum Incursions to wrap up a warp speed win. FW 100-0. Round 2 Edwin Latrell FW (+85) Loose Cannon was piloting DQ Maquis, but found himself stuck behind a pair of Scows early. Solving Study Rare Phenomenon without mission specialists meant I was taking the scenic route to victory, though a well placed Dead End bought me the time to get there at Investigate Disappearance. FW 100-15. Round 3 Damon Sommer FW (+100) The Devious One was schooling me on Borg, and benefited greatly from us duplicating all but two missions. Forced into Plan B mode from the opening bell, I cleared a Maglock at Host Metaphasic Shield Test courtesy of Lower Decks shortly before he could probe for Stop First Contact. FW 100-0. Closing Thoughts While arguably the most prepared for Quantum Incursions, being unable to battle an opponent at will is a high price to pay to pass a dilemma you may not even encounter. Thankfully, none of matches offered much in terms of player interaction, but I am certain this gig was simply an exception to the rule.
