Funny... She Doesn't Look Druish |
Introduction |
With the end of yet another productive offseason just over the horizon, I headed north for one more league throw down with the good folks who make up the Fargo play group. Intent on crossing yet another achievement off my bucket list, I retooled Cardassian in search of yet another tournament win for the Union. |
|
Round 1 | | Chris Volk | FW (+80) |
The Instant Classic was experimenting with Cardassian / Ferengi, and racked up a handful of points early courtesy of Kotra and Tongo. Unfortunately for him, connecting with several ships meant he lacked personnel for much of the match so one copy of The Central Command was all I needed to wrap up this warp speed affair. FW 100-20. |

Round 2 | | Ian Parmenter | FW (+100) |
Primetime was packing Delta Quadrant Klingons, and killed off a ton of my personnel via repeated uses of Not Easily Avoided. Thankfully, stacking three copies of Chula: The Game on Obtain Advanced Technology bought me the time to reset my draw deck twice with Tacking Into the Wind and eventually grind my way to victory. FW 100-0. |

Round 3 | | Barry Windschitl | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
The Genius was dealing Dominion point loss, but was comparatively slow out of the gate as Tain & Co. were hammering away at Eliminate Harvesters on turn 3. Despite getting slowed by Crippling Strike, I side stepped An Issue of Trust in space shortly before he could force me into a Fatal-4-Way situation at Mine Miszinite. FW 100-0. |
This was another bad match-up for me. I didn't even get a mission in the game as the attributes of the Stokoron missions gave me more fits than it gave Pies' dilemmas. A Rough game, to be sure. |

Closing Thoughts |
Special thanks to The Animal for opening up his residence to the MN crew over the past two months. As someone who also frequently hosts tournaments from the comforts of home, I can relate to the added family / financial stress it can cause and am thus grateful for his efforts to keep the games alive up in ND. |
