Introduction
MinnMania 2016 went live from the V.I.P. room at Fantasy Flight Games Event Center, and as usual the 2E Battle Royale was a crowd pleaser. As another batch of invaders comingled with The Land of 10,000 Champions' finest, on this day the old guard once again turned back all challengers.

Round 1TNGbandana8472FW (+35)View opponent's Report
The Original Champion was kicking it with his timeless TNG cadet build, and loaded up on Biology / Exobiology for my primary wall early. Changing gears to total slaughter mode, it took a fully loaded Preventative Repercussions and a triple shot of The Dal'Rok to eventually grind out the win. FW 100-65.

Round 2DS9rakesubrocketFW (+40)
The Chosen One was rocking DS9 diversity, but was hammered by Telepathic Deception from the onset and couldn't quite recover. After the ALC bomb put him back to square one, I methodically worked my way through his Moral Choice x3 dilemma pile to win a nail biter at the wire. FW 100-60.

Round 3BorgBarry WindschitlFL (-35)View opponent's Report
The Genius was once again administering Borg assimilation, and exploited Knowledge & Experience a handful of times to score easy mission solves. With the gamesmanship at a fever pitch and time running short, he side-stepped both of my remaining copies of All Consuming Evil to take the match in overtime. FL 100-65.

Round 4RelativityJeremy HuthFW (+65)
Hardcore was testing out Relativity, but lost a handful of Temporal All-Stars at Navigate Xindi Corridor due to The Clown: Guillotine and a double dose of Uninvited. Dismissing Richard Galen and Beverly Crusher left him without access to Exobiology, and I cruised to victory on the heels of the Telepathic Deception lockout. FW 100-35.

Closing Thoughts
Greater MN Land has never fallen victim to Flavor of the Month ™ hype, and this tournament was no exception. While the winningest builds were largely classic designs, new cards were sprinkled in where appropriate and each competitor was keenly aware of the strengths / weaknesses of all the latest creations.
