Why Dont You Pull the Trigger... and Find Out? |
Introduction |
Running DS9-E Cadet online in search of some more competition. With the latest batch of refinements in tow, this design was once again firing on all cylinders. |
|
Round 1 | | Benjamin Rostoker | FW (+90) |
Primus was testing out Cardassian capture, but was comparatively slow out of the gate as I attempted on turn 2 and was double teaming by turn 4. Once I solved Avert Danger in one shot by dialing up Melora Pazlar, I went back to Practice Orbital Maneuvers to win it shortly after his first and only mission attempt. FW 100-10. |

|
Round 2 | | Jordan Smith | FW (+100) |
Stardust was also rocking Cardassian capture, and killed a bunch of dudes over the course of the game with Whisper in the Dark and Silent Witness. Unfortunately, while he stacked his core with events I stacked my side of the table with peeps, and had blown through 2 missions before his High Command "Motivation" trick fired off and he was able to attempt. By that time, I had 2 dilemmas under my last mission and solved it shortly after his first and only mission attempt. FW 100-0. |

Round 3 | | Nickolay Korotya | FW (+30) |
Big Money was once again piloting Relativity, but was slowed to a crawl by Dreamer and the Dream and an opening hand that was full of verbs. Uncanny dilemma draws and random selections kept him in the game far longer than even he anticipated, but I eventually locked up the win for the Red Squad after Timescape slammed the door on his come back bid. FW 100-70. |

Closing Thoughts |
The Phoenix is not only great for the tilt factor of forcing an opponent into a 110 win scenario, it also works perfectly as a storage compartment for a 2nd wave attempt at POM. There is also tremendous synergy at work with Astrometrics Lab, as it is a solid counter to Crippling Strike. |
