Why not Cadets? |
Introduction |
Why not Cadets for the DS9E/Klingon achievement? |
|
Round 1 | | Nathan W | FW (+25) |
Nate was playing Borg. He stopped me cold the first attempt with Dreamer and In Development, taking out a couple of These are the Voyages, Injo, Tacking and something else, making me sad. However, solving the cadet mission and Avert Danger in the very next turn was pretty sweet (Cadets + Filuz/Tolian passed Tsi Infection and Whispers.) Took much longer to solve the 40 point planet mission, giving him enough time to cheat through two missions before I was able to solve for the win. |

Round 2 | | Sebastian Kirstein | FW (+40) |
So, I don't normally expect to pass Back to Basics against the Borg... but I did in this game because he only had 13 cards in the discard pile (he thought it was 12 for some unknown reason.) It went downhill from there for him as I was able to Kirk/grind through the planets for the win. |

Round 3 | | Tjark Ott | FW (+100) |
He was playing 5 Space Voyager but I was able to get both of my Kirks in this game, passing the cadet mission thanks to Seven having Acquisition to deal with his Accelerated Aging. After that, it was simply a deluge of people (Inyo got three DS9 people which, considering the deck only has 5, was pretty sweet.) |

Closing Thoughts |
Finally, I can put this achievement to rest. |
