Neil says that I have Balls |
Introduction |
Now that I'm in the phrase, "Playing with the house's money" was running through my head. I was hoping that Phil would beat Neil so that I wouldn't have to play him until the final but that would mean making it through Harrington's undefeated deck or face John again. Either way, not an easy path and I had to make it past Nick first... |

Round 1 | | Nicholas Yankovec | FW (0)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Nick was playing something similar to what James was playing. He went through both of his Tackings but I use Kira to get back one of the cards. After discovering later that he was running an Unfair Comparison pile I can see why he was all about getting the missions done. I kidnapped someone with Holding Cell even though he didn't have Uninited (which I didn't know) and went through my missions. |
Great deck build, a complete bitch to play against unless you have the right counters. My Klingon deck has 2x Tacking, and no interrupt prevention. It's a speed deck. I managed to destroy 2 EEO, but MvB got one back, and that was all he needed. If I had had a perfect opening hand, I'm sure I could have outsped his deck, gaining a victory, but even then, with Holding Cell neutering my Relentless and Bridge Officer's Test I couldn't have been as fast as I wanted. With an Unfair Comparisson dilemma pile, and not having 8 events in my core, there was no chance of playing a dilemma for his insane attempts with 2 people and RATs. |

Round 2 | | Mike Harrington | FW (0) |
He was running a TNG integrity deck using the Ent-D to pay for and Field Studies to make the space missions that much easier, especially when you can solve them with four people. I had to spend most of my Grav's on his Endangered's so if he had managed to get to his Grav's then I wouldn't have won. He spent seven counters to draw and he needed one more counter we found out afterwards. I managed to win by the skin of my teeth. |

Round 3 | | Neil Timmons | FL (0)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
It was a lot closer this time around. I managed to get a mission off and I had three people remaining - Super Li Nalas, Basso and Khan left (everyone else died.) If I had been super-ballsy I would've fake-attemped with Basso and then attempted with super Li. I might've gotten Risa as well and then who knows? Unfortunately his Uninvited (couldn't keep Holding Cell in play) hit Li Nalas and made him die. I held him off for a very long time with my dilemma pile, always keeping him one person short and Conflict of Interests was becoming the money card of this game. |
Round 3.. FIGHT!
so yeah.. he is trying to launch the rocket. and I had wrenches. I messed it up a little bit and he was able to get his planet mission done this time, but I killed enough people and canceled enough of his events that he had no way of attempting/completing his other 3 missions, but this game was very similar to the gamer in the other report. Again, Michael has the stones to play decks like this. We had a great time hanging out this weekend and I can't wait to hang out with Michael and Amber again!
