And You\'re Back... You\'re Back for More |
Introduction |
I can not begin to explain how excited i was for this tournament. I said to many people, “the streak” means nothing unless I leave trek masters unbeaten. Ben Hosp was a great host, along with Neil helping out, big thanks to them |

Round 1 | | John Paul Veasey | FW (+90) |
John was playing a deck , That I designed so , I stayed in my own universe to run through my missions instead of blowing him up, which I felt would be tough if he had a decent crew to bunch up the enterprise e stats, first planet mission cost me a ship and 4 people, but after i cruised through the rest , while runnning into a cythieans that a beat in 1 swoop and back. Great start for me |

Round 2 | | Bruce Parrish | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Bruce has been a player that I have been dying to play, I love his deck designs, and I think it cost him this match because the deck he played, i have used in multiple tournaments, so I knew every beginning moves with the first 3 turns , and my delimma placement of knowing that deck put him in a disadvantage in my opinion. Him being in the delta quadrant , I decided to attemp missions by my 3rd turn, and won the game in 3 missions by the 9th turn, it luckily came together for me to be able to run through his combos, after winning this round my eyes were focused on either Lucas or Brian for the next round. |
Robing was playing alliance and informed me that he had already played with the deck I was using and he enjoyed it. It was such a compliment but he did win 100-0 just outplayed out-attempted and knew every weakness I had. |

Round 3 | | Lucas Thompson | FL (-100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
This was a great game, having not starting a fight all day, I decided not to battle because I didn’t feel I needed to, also Lucas having starbase 247 meant i needed a bigger fleet then normal to stop him, and i didn’t feel it was needed “mistake number 1” Lucas was able to get a big mission of 55 points, the combo I stopped him on an edo probe had a dead end under it, So I decided not to solve missions but clear out the Dilemma’s,then swoope all missions in a turn, for the win, I had done it for 2 missions, but then I got caught with an emergent life form! My whole crew with my ship to be controlled “mistake number 2!” and it was basically over, Lucas’s combo’s were really strong, and I was very impressed , I wasn’t mad, but he did end “the streak” Best believe I’m coming for revenge! |
Robin's KCA deck was brutally efficient, and if he hadn't tripped an Emergent Life Form right next to the wormhole with his entire crew, I don't think I would have won this one. He, too, Edo Probed me, and was tactically avoiding solving his own missions (while still clearing out dilemmas), with the plan of swooping in and solving them all in one shot (so that Edo wouldn't go away). While the Regency 1 was achieving sentience, though, I had time to hit the two mission win. |

Round 4 | | Michael Van Breemen | FW (+30) |
This was a matchup I was hoping for, After losing to Lucas for not blowing him up, I firmly decided that I was going to blow up everything and eliminate MVB from any chances, it worked to a point but MVB was able to come back from my destroying his ships and outpost , to getting crews out, and getting 70 points, But it caught up to him, I was able to delay him to come to a 3 mission win. I have a lot of respect for MVB, but was thrilled to beat him. |

Closing Thoughts |
I came to win this tournament and felt I could have, but the mistakes I made vs Lucas cost me, With the shot to face Brian in the finals for the win and Da Belt would have been epic, Brian is my white whale and I’m Captain Ahab , He schooled me very badly in my first tournament back, but is also the guy that talks trek with me all the time, and I highly respect him. It was a great tournament but def. not the last, I will be back, and another streak will arise |
