Warp Speed |
Introduction |
Holy moly. I haven’t played 1R in person since February 2018. Maggie hosted an amazing tournament and I had a blast. |

Round 1 | | Chris Lund | FW (+50)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
It was nice to meet Chris. A player from very long time ago. He has a great attitude towards learning the game. I managed to clear missions rather quickly and dump a bunch of guys. |
Solid game, but I never stood a chance. Corbin got a ton of personnel/ships out fast and was able to sweep missions pretty quickly. Enjoyed talking with Corbin about some of the game's history. |

Round 2 | | Michael Moskop | FW (+50) |
Always look forward to matches with Michael. We definitely play for keeps when we play which keeps me on my toes. I'd like to have a rematch of this game sometime. |

Round 3 | | Brian S | FW (+5) |
Brian was the only other person running the shuttle tech (I think?). Had there been some clarity around the hologram rule (and no fault to Maggie for ruling as she did that all holo-involved tech simply cannot be used) he may have had enough peeps to get around a hungry Hanonian Land Eel. Brian's dilemmas were on fleek however as they kept me on my toes and made me think quite a bit on how to work around them. |

Closing Thoughts |
Man I miss 1E. Persuaded the better half to let me play as a father's day gift. with some more babysitting and as the kids get older I'm sure I'll find some more time to get out and play once again.
Constructed warp speed would do with some clarification around how ready room door works as well as how hologram works. The format is dusty of course BUT I can assure you that this tournament being warp speed (and thus very quick) was a clinching factor in finding the time to go. So by all means bring on more warp speed and if we can fix the rules and maybe balance out the shuttle thing (somehow?) then I think this format could be quite vibrant. |
