My next tournament will be a Project Transwarp Sealed-Deck Draft Tournament. For those of you who do not know what Project Transwarp is, it is a project created by The Continuing Committee, whose aim is to create a starter deck for each playable faction, including updates to the existing six Decipher-produced starter decks.
To participate in this tournament, you must assemble one of the starter decks listed on The Continuing Committee website. You begin by going to: www.trekcc.org. Next, under the COMMUNITY heading, click the Online Deck Builder. Each Project Transwarp Sealed Deck is listed on that page; you may have to scroll down a bit before you see the first one in the list (Starfleet); the last one in the list is Bajoran.
Naturally, since this is a sealed-deck tournament, you'll need some sealed product as well. Booster packs of Second Edition Premiere and Call to Arms will be available for purchase at the event at a cost of $1 per booster. You do not need to purchase these boosters if you have some of your own, however. To play in the tournament, you'll need your Project Transwarp starter deck and three booster packs (they don't all have to be the same). The boosters can be from any of the following types: 1 Premiere, 2 Energize, 3 Call to Arms, 4 Necessary Evil (no comments, please), 6 Reflections 2.0 (yes, I know there are 18 cards in one of these instead of 11), 7 Strange New Worlds, 8 To Boldly Go, 10 Captain's Log, 12 These Are the Voyages, 13 In a Mirror, Darkly, and 14 What You Leave Behind.
This will be a draft event. Standard draft rules apply. Note that eighteen-card Reflections 2.0 packs will be drafted in the same way as other packs, but will simply go around the table more than a standard eleven-card booster pack.
We'll go four rounds if we get 9 or more players. |
