Can't miss us.
Other Information: Just a fun, silly little evening of Warp Speed Voyager to kick off the Weekend of 1E here in the Twin Cities. Location/time still subject to change, but it is getting close to the day of the event, so it needs to be posted.

We have a box of sealed Voyager starters. We need to get rid of it. Each player will be given one deck at the start of the tournament. That is the play deck; there is no customization. At the end of each round, players will switch decks with their opponents and move on to the next game. Rounds last 30 minutes (maximum). The format is Warp Speed, and all cards are played as printed, without errata. (Incidentally, sealed-deck warp-speed play is the only way the Voyager expansion makes any sense as a matter of game design or balance.) If there are six or fewer players, halfway through the tournament, we will put all of the open decks off to the side and hand out the rest of the decks from the box. One way or another, EVERYTHING MUST GO!

Prizes: we have several very attractive lots of printed V-cards, including a complete set of Resistance is Futile, as well as a handful of rares from RoA which I am trying to scrounge together into a worthwhile prize lot.

Warp Speed Sealed Starter is a fun way to dip your toe in the 1E pool without having to think hard about customization, draw engines, or any of the really challenging rules that make 1E so difficult. This tournament in particular may help new and returning players familiarize themselves with the VOY cardlist in advance of Kris's sealed-deck tourney the following day.
