I can't believe the news today. Oh, I can't close my eyes and make it go away.
by Steve C
I've been wanting to try an ALC deck for a while and I did win a Regional last year with one of Kris Sonsteby's decks last year. I liked the way his TOS deck played but I felt it was missing something. Since I was resigned to going planet first, I thought the addition of two Field Studies from the Ent-B points just made sense.

Draw Deck Strategy
It's all about counter advantage. Hopefully you can get Surprise Party out early. Take advantage of the extra Earth draw as often as possible. Play the TOS crew for their discounts unless you absolutely need their ability. Try to get the Enterprise-B out. Go for ALC first to make your opponent put 12 counters under. Try to get the bonus Ent-B points. Go for Investigate Alien Probe next and if you have the Ent-B points, use Field Studies. Close with Find Lifeless World.
Dilemma Pile Strategy
I started with Stefan Slabby's World's pile and tweaked it. It's a standard Tragic Turn pile with Uninvited x2 in the draw deck. I found myself running out of things to Uninvited for so I would probably add A Royal Hunt x1 or x2 and maybe a 3rd Bold Plan.
