Ideally, you don't draw Mine Dilithium as your very last mission and can seed it in between your five copies of Enlistment Drive. If possible, keep it nicely in the middle. Scream in agony if you play against another mirror quadrant deck.
Dilemma phase:
Identify the two missions you want to complete. Your opponent will likely seed tougher dilemmas closer to your presumed base of operations at Mine Dilithium, and might put potential mis-seeds farther away.
1) Self-seed Sarjenka and The Genesis Device at the mission you want to attempt first.
2) Self-seed the second Sarjenka at your second mission.
Facility phase:
1) Seed Halkan Council at Mine Dilithium
---download ISS Enterprise
-------download First Officer Spock (don't use his special download yet)
2) Seed Protect the Timeline at Halkan Council
3) Seed Study Divergent History on ISS Enterprise
4) Seed Terran Outpost at one of your Enlistment Drive missions, within six span of your Mine Dilithium (so maximum of one mission between outpost mission and time location mission)
5) Seed Reunite Legends on Terran Outpost
---seed Assign Mission Specialists and download Inge Eiger and Benjamin Maxwell to Terran Outpost
6) When seeding Emblem of the Empire, DO NOT FORGET to download The Art of Diplomacy!
TURN ONE Play phase 1) Free play a unique personnel to Halkan Council with Protect the Timeline
2) Free play any TOS card to Halkan Council with its gametext
3) Use your regular card play to report a ship or personnel
Orders phase 1) Use Reunite Legends to download USS Enterprise-A
2) Use Enterprise-A to download James T. Kirk
3) Use James T. Kirk to download Lower Decks
4) JTK, Benjamin Maxwell and Inge Eiger fly to Mine Dilithium.
5) Use Taking Charge (JTK is a captain) to download a copy of Process Ore: Mining on Mine Dilithium (use the copy from your draw deck first, not the one in the Tent)
6) Beam Inge Eiger down to Mine Dilithium
7) Stop JTK + FO Spock, and Benjamin Maxwell and whichever MQ personnel you played for two card draws with Study Divergent History
Draw a card to end.
TURN TWO
Start of Turn: 0) Use Process Ore: Mining to discard a card from hand, draw one, score 1 point. You should always do this, there is almost always something redundannt in your hand.
1) If you have a copy of Nanoprobe Resuscitation in hand:
---voluntarily discard Assign Mission Specialists at the start of your turn
---immediately play Nanoprobe Resuscitation to take AMS back to hand from your discard pile
Play phase 1) Free play a unique personnel to Halkan Council with Protect the Timeline
2) Free play any TOS card to Halkan Council with its gametext
3) If you just used Nanoprobe Resucitation to get AMS back to hand: Card play AMS, downloading two mission specialists (you can't grab Ensign Davis if you already command one) that fill your current skill holes. If no AMS in hand: Use your regular card play to report a ship or personnel
Orders phase 1) Get your personnel, including a personnel that can use Taking Charge, to the mission where you have seeded The Genesis Device.
2) Download an Objective there (Process Ore: Mining or Fear Will Keep Them in Line)
3) Keep the ISS Enterprise out of harm's way; keep the follwing personnel safe and use them to fuel Study Divergent History card draws:
- James T. Kirk (alpha, needed for bonus points)
- Benjamin Maxwell (alpha, needed for bonus points)
- two copies of Ensign Davis (mirror, needed for bonus points)
In total, you need to keep four copies of Ensign Davis alive, but all the rest you can just throw at missions!
Once you have cleared all opponent's dilemmas, use Sarjenka to stop yourself and earn five points. Then, beam down your solving crew with all your bonus point personnel and earn The Genesis Device. Place The Genesis Device on your second mission, use it to double its points. Note that you can only do this once you have David Marcus in play (download him via I'm a Doctor, Not a Bricklayer).
- Remember that once per turn you can report a personnel native to the Alpha Quadrant (thank to Crossover: An Invitation).
- Protect the Timeline only allows unique personnel to report for free, so make sure you use your reporting engines optimally (plan ahead for the next turn, if possible).
- NEVER discard The Art of Diplomacy to download a hand weapon!
- At the beginning of the game, your priority should be on getting personnel into play that beat the most common dual and planet dilemmas. Some to watch out for are:
--- "God". Needs high Integrity. Remember that you have Taking Charge in play, giving all your guys attributes +1 at the two missions you want to do.
--- Hanonian Land Eel. Needs SCIENCE, SECURITY, and STRENGTH >50. First Officer Spock can download a gun for STRENGTH into the attempt.
--- Joy'Yichu. Needs Anthropology in the away team and Transporter Skill on the ship (FO Spock has it). Watch out for this one, make sure you have Anthro.
--- Rules of Obedience. The Geology/2 Honor way must likely won't work, but you should have plenty of SECURITY and TREACHERY for the second option.
--- Medical Crisis. Can be difficult if you don't draw into your MEDICALs. You can download Alyssa Ogawa (Nurse, MED, Bio) with Assign Mission Specialists from your Tent.
Road to victory / point strategy
1a) Place Process Ore: Mining on Enlistment Drive 1; it adds Geology to its requirements.
1b) Stop your away team that cleared the dilemmas at Sarjenka for points [5]
1c) Complete Enlistment Drive 1 for its printed value [30]
---score 5 points for James T. Kirk using an attribute [5]
---score 5 points for AMS (Benjamin Maxwell: Leadership) [5]
---score 5 points for AMS (Inge Eiger: Geology) [5]
---score 20 points for AMS (four copies of Ensign Davis each using their Treachery as Diplomacy x½ via The Art of Diplomacy; check the glossary under "use (skills)" if you don't think this works [20]
---earn The Genesis Device
Score for Enlistment Drive 1: 70 points
2a) Place The Genesis Device on Enlistment Drive 2; you can only do this if you have David Marcus in play
2b) Place Process Ore: Mining on ED 2 via Taking Charge; it adds Geology to its requirements.
2c) Place Fear Will Keep Them In Line on ED 2 via Taking Charge
2d) Stop your away team that cleared the dilemmas at Sarjenka for points [5]
2e) Complete Enlistment Drive 2 for DOUBLE its printed value [60]
---score 5 points for James T. Kirk using an attribute [5]
---score 5 points for AMS (Benjamin Maxwell: Leadership) [5]
---score 5 points for AMS (Inge Eiger: Geology) [5]
---score 20 points for AMS (four copies of Ensign Davis each using their Treachery as Diplomacy x½ via The Art of Diplomacy [20]
---score points for Fear Will Keep Them In Line; up to [15]; depending on how many points you've score from Process Ore: Mining, a single ship might be enough, e.g, PO:M [4] points, and ISS Enterprise's WEAPONS of 6 for [6] points from Fear Will Keep Them in line
Score for Enlistment Drive 2: 110+
You can always play another copy of Fear Will Keep Them In Line on the first mission, too, to have a cushion in case you want to run through an Edo Probe (which you should always do; life's too short for stopping to Edo Probes).
Dilemma Pile Strategy
Pursuit Just Behind can be used for heavy attrition.
