Federation2nd Place - Charlie Plaine (MidnightLich)
I\'d never played in this era, and I\'d spent a month listening to James Heaney talk up his experience in the March version of this tournament. So I decided to give it a try, but I quickly became overwhelmed by deck building. Thus, I decided to steal a deck from Stephen P (Spectre9) and ran with it. I even managed to resist my desire to make changes, and left it as is.

Dominion2nd Place - Brian Sykes (Armus)
Bajoran1st Place - Nathan W (Naetor)
This deck is pretty crazy, with the new 50 point Bajoran mission being the perfect card for a deck that was already pretty good (old version here: https://www.trekcc.org/decklists/index.php?mode=viewdeck&deckID=40366). It\'s a strong deck in standard that is even better with the exclusion of An Issue of Trust. It plays differently than most other decks. Each turn you want to end your turn with 6 or ideally 7 cards to use the Ceti Alpha Text (7 let\'s you keep your \"best card\"). So you almost draw a new hand every turn. Many of the cards in the deck get much stronger from the discard pile, and with many retrieval options there\'s nothing too detrimental to lose. A few of my opponents called this an innovative deck, but it\'s ultimately the extension of a series of Bajoran decks designed by a local player, Thomas Vineberg, that I saw first-hand (https://www.trekcc.org/tournament/index.php?mode=viewdeck&deckID=36091) - just a bit more evil :D
CardassianFederation1st Place - Charlie Plaine (MidnightLich)
I\'d never played 1E during this era of the game, and I\'d only played DS9 sealed once before, so I was nervous. But when I opened my packs, I was really happy with my pool of missions and personnel - not very splashy, but solid and with consistent skills. My rares were much more hit and miss, with lots of cards I couldn\'t use like Rescue Personnel or File Mission Report. I was worried about my dilemmas, but I used all the ones I got and it turns out I had some good choices for the format. As per the rules, I added an outpost to the pool to give me three reporting locations, since I was light on seed cards.
