Introduction |
A quickly thrown together DS9 deck using a skill-only pile. I wanted to add Legacy, but forgot about it. |

Round 1 | | Nathan W | FL (-40)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I caught a break when Nate misplayed a dilemma, but his fine-tuned dilemma pile and excellent dilemma plays at my last mission bought him enough time to win. |
Johannes played a great counter deck: Medical Team, Bashir, and Ezri. Still, I was ahead and slowing him considerably. A misplay at his 2nd mission -- giving him planet dilemmas when I thought he was at space -- made the game much closer. Still I held him off and finished with the win. |

Round 2 | | Mark Morris | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Mark's deck let him down, while my deck seemed to do what it was supposed to do. I got the Under Siege team to go, and sailed smoothly through my missions. |
So kaiser lays down ds9, which i am happy about because i know the cards pretty welll, or so it thought.
I start out with a tacking into the wind which is great because i couldnt draw into a ship in the first game so i start right out and play it to get the enterprise.
Second turn I play the enterpise and Kaiser reminds me that i need 4 personnel... of which i had 1... “Starting Over” discard the enterprise and a fiendish physician and draw 6 new cards.
Later I would use temporal test subject to get Mccoy back.
I did manage to play “Khan” for the first time ever against his promenade school which was pretty cool and got a causul recursion into his core to force the 110 victory.
The deck played pretty much the gong show that it should, at one point adding 8 to the number of dilemmas i would draw and 4 to the ammount i could spend. (I am starting to like this Q fella)
But in the end the dilemma pile just has too much consume (for the acheivement) that every mission becomes easier and easier.
Memorable moments
1) Forgetting under siege odo has ‘DUAL” written and playing 3 dilemmas with the first being a wall “ODO vs we’ll never know + mugato + dangerous standoff”
2) Playing Farell to download spock, then playing spock at +2 to play marlena moreau???
Had a super fun game, thanks Kaiser! |

Round 3 | | Matt Kirk | FW (+60) |
The new-style Maquis are a bit slow out of the gates, and by the time Matt had a solid crew, I was well on my way. I got an Optical Delusion to go, and always got at least two under every time I attempted. |
|
|
Round 4 | | Tyler Fultz | FL (-65) |
Tyler used Extreme Measures to get some extra counters, but it was mostly an even match - up to the point where I got hit by a Prefix Codes, and promptly lost my ship to two Point Blank Strikes. I tried to recover, but Tyler was to far ahead. |

Closing Thoughts |
Without Legacy, the skill-only pile was just not good enough. While sometimes the filters worked great to set up Optical Delusion, Dignitaries or Gomtuu, the lack of Hard Time, Polywater, etc, usually meant having to put an extra under when the right bounce-wall was missing. |
