Introduction
My cardpool this time was pretty much the opposite of last time: I pulled some good personnel (Mirok, Jack Crusher, Kurn, Scotty), but had no treaty or outpost in my boosters. Also, the personnel were spread evenly across all affiliation with only a few non-aligneds, so the only option I had was to go Triple Treaty.

Round 1FederationMichael Van BreemenFL (-95)View opponent's Report
MVB was playing straight Federation with some NA support. He had Geordi out early, Suna soon after, and breezed through two missions on the first go. Myself, I had great skills in play, but none of my high-Integrity guys would show up, so I couldn't do my two Integrity missions despite having 8 personnel out. So I decided to hunt MVBs ship down the spaceline. "hailed" me to prevent the battle, then complete his third mission, turned around, hopped aboard a new ship at his outpost, and stole the planet mission I had started clearing. Excellent play by Michael, FL 5-100.

Round 2RomulanDaniel MattesonFW (+70)
We were both operating from the same mission (where I accidentally seeded my artifact, because I didn't pay attention and missed that it was HIS mission which I couldn't even attempt). I went out to space, and left my ship out in the open, so Dan promptly flew in with two ships to try and blow it up. I had to STP it back to end, and was down to no personnel left in play, and about eight turns behind in resources now. Dan also played the make-opponent-discard-a-card-each-turn event, so sooner or later I would be running out of personnel. Luckily, Dan's attemptable missions were a few missions away, so he couldn't leave enough firing power behind to harass me and also score points. A well-timed Q-Net (my last draw card) stalled his fleet, and I was able to clear enough missions before we both decked out or Dan could come back.

Round 3Kris SonstebyFW (+80)View opponent's Report
Like me, Kris was forced to run the Triple Treaty, so no worries about mission stealing. He suffered from a lack of dilemmas and and had at least one misseed under each mission I attempted. I tried to keep his two ships away from our shared outpost mission with a Q-Net, but it got Kevined right away. Still, I had probably the best draw so far with all classifications and some redundancy in play early on, so I was able to do my missions without having to spend several turns flying new people in like in the previous game.

Round 4Rem BoonFW (+65)
Rem had a Fed/Rom treaty, and set up his Husnock Outpost at the same mission as myself. I had some decent personnel in play early, but only the one ship I downloaded. I tried to run headlong into my first space mission with everything I had, rushed through. The bonus range came in handy, as it allowed to fly to one of the missions farther down the spaceline in the hopes of finding less powerful dilemmas there. I just barely scraped by a Conundrum and completed that one, too. Back at my outpost mission, I decided to redshirt the hell out of it. My personnel draws were much better than in the previous games, so I was able to send multiple bodies and still have enough Integrity in the proper team to complete. I went on to Impose Order, and cleared, but Rem burned his Reflection Therapy to steal it on his turn, then set up a strong crew there to protect the points. I tried to Stone of Gol his away team, but he Kevin'd it. In the end, I had to move out to space again and ran into an Edo Probe. Stopping and losing the points would have meant I'd have to do an extra mission, so I decided to risk it and went on, which luckily turned out to be the right call. Good, close game!

Closing Thoughts
Last time I had the treaties and outposts, now I had the good personnel. Hopefully one day I'll get a good mix of the two and some slightly more efficient dilemmas.
