Tournament Report - 2E - American Nationals Side Event
2016-10-20 - 07:00 PM
Introduction
Let's see: a deck I haven't lookedat in forever, not drinking, being tired, and lack of prep. that is how you should prepare for a tournament, right?

Round 1DS9Derrick MarshFL (-100)
I didn't get one of the 6 ships in a 55 card deck until about turn 5 or 6, and then it was the Mirror Defiant. What ishould that doing in this deck? another turn to play the 3rd AU personnel so I actually could play the ship and I'm way behind. Didn't help I forgot about Garak and tossed just an Ambush. This was over quickly.

Round 2CardassianPhil SchraderFL (-100)
still no ships so I dug and about the time I got one, Evek took the ppl to staff it. another turn or two and I go attempt a mission, after losing only 2 of 7 personnel, I was destaffed because the one guy I had 3 of doesn't have any icons. since I couldn't find a second ship, I dug and finally got a captain on the bridge to report someone to the ship and fly home. seeing as how the central command was wrecking my poor dilemmas, Phil won quickly.

Round 3BajoranJohn CorbettFL (-65)
I actually looked thru the deck between rounds and realized it wasn't really battle and the only damage was prefix codes. Oops. learning that, I changed my plans and tried to just go solve missions. I also had 2 ships in my opinion hand. go figure. I ate 2 Outclassed and then a bunch of other stuff but made it thru space (only mission solve all tourney). I almost made it thru a planet but the dilemma pile was apparently meant for battle but I didn't have a draw deck for that so John got thru his 3rd mission after stacking a few dilemmas.

Closing Thoughts
actually look thru the deck before you attempt to play it and don't assume what is in it.
