Bring in the CLONE !!!
Introduction
4:30am in the morning - what better time to play Tribbles? As I'd already missed most of my sleeping time, I figured one more tournament couldn't hurt. I didn't have a new deck built for this one, so I dug through my old decks on Lackey and pulled out my Clone deck. Daniel and Mike were playing Rainbow, and Josh had a Go deck (with lots of Tally, of course).

Round 1 ()
Daniel had been Skip'ing and Reverse'ing me during the previous tournament (when he was playing Dance). I got my revenge on him this time around with lots of Clone/Reverse and Clone/Skip. Mike began the points scoring with Utilize on me, I then Copy'ed that Utilize and targeted Mike. We shared a Tally, so we were both happy. After a few rounds, I went out with five cards in my play pile. It's really not that hard to do when you have lots of low denomination Clone cards in a four player pod (especially when one of them gets Skip'ed)

Round 1 scores: James 150,202; Mike 50,101; Daniel 0; Josh 0.

Round 2 ()
Everyone got on the scoreboard in this round. It began with Josh Score'ing on me and we split a Tally. I then Copy'ed a Toxin and split a Tally with Mike. A few turns later, Josh Score'd on me again and we split another Tally. Mid-round I got lucky and was able to play a 10k Clone, 100k Tally and 100k Clone on successive turns after nobody else could play anything. I played a couple of other big Clone cards during the round and was pleasantly surprised to find over 550k in my score pile when I went out.

Round 2 scores: James 700,503; Josh 221,001; Mike 70,020; Daniel 1,011.
Overall scores: James 850,705; Josh 221,001; Mike 120,121; Daniel 1,011.

Round 3 ()
It seems like this was the round of split Tally's. Mike split one with Josh, I then played a Copy and split one with Josh too. Later on, Josh Score'd on me and we split another Tally. Amazingly, I went out for the third straight round, with 230k in my play pile. That took me over the magical million score for the first time in my Tribbles career - on my 49th attempt.

Round 3 scores: James 330,404; Josh 250,001; Mike 60,000; Daniel 0.
Overall scores: James 1,181,109; Josh 471,002; Mike 180,121; Daniel 1,011.

Round 4 ()
Partly because of my huge lead, and partly because of how tired I was, my mind began drifting from this point onwards. I didn't score another point for the rest of the game, and just began hoping that it would end while I was still in the lead. Josh split three Tally's in this round. Two with Mike and one with Daniel. When Mike eventually went out, he only had 23,853 in his play pile. IDIC made up for that though, giving him an extra 150k.

Round 4 scores: Mike 285,964; Josh 160,200; Daniel 70,120; James 0.
Overall scores: James 1,181,109; Josh 631,202; Mike 466,085; Daniel 71,131.

Round 5 ()
I began to get nervous during this round. I only had one chance to end the round, but didn't have the correct card in hand to do so. That left me wishing it would end quickly. It didn't. Daniel and Mike scored big money, and it was Mike who eventually went out. This time with 232k in his score pile and a huge 160k bonus from IDIC. That left him just shy of the million mark, and about 200k behind me.

Round 5 scores: Mike 492,636; Daniel 100,000; Josh 60,101; James 0.
Overall scores: James 1,181,109; Mike 958,721; Josh 691,303; Daniel 171,131.

Closing Thoughts
I'd played versions of this deck at GenCon and in Australia, and had struggled with it. The worst part was that Will had taken the same deck and won with it. Grrrr. At least that monkey is off my back now.
