TNGIt beat me in 16 minutes, so it must be good (or I'm terrible)
Introduction
Joel beat me with his TNG Speed solver at GenCon in 16 minutes, so I thought I'd steal it and see how it fared in London. It is basically a micro-solver, with Field Studies to earn free dilemmas. I had originally planned to earn a few more casting achievements with the deck, but it involved adding nine cards, and I thought that was too high a price to pay for a couple of achievements. I did update the dilemma pile with a handful of Unnatural Selection dilemmas though. I couldn't resist.

Round 1StarfleetMr SladeFL (-50)
Matt was playing a Starfleet solver. If I had paid attention I would have noticed that, due to his mission selection, he needed the 10 points from Earth to make 100 from three missions. Sadly, I didn't and got bogged down at my planet mission for quite some time. As it was, when I finally got to my space mission, Matt already had the bonus. He didn't seem to have a very good dilemma draw, but gave me Chula: The Chandra and then Where No Man Has Gone Before. Through sheer luck, Matt picked both of my Navigation personnel to be stopped with Chula, and then I took a trip because I had no Navigation. I was sitting with two copies of Field Studies in hand ready to make my next attempt much easier, but I never got to use them. I only got to make one more mission attempt and Matt stopped me. Time was called, and he went on to take the full win on his last turn when my dilemma pile failed me and I couldn't stop enough personnel to make a difference.

FL: 50-110

Round 2DominionNicholas YankovecFW (+25)
Nick was playing his Dominion Alpha solver. This was a very tight game (or, I thought so at the time.) He completed his first mission at the first attempt, so did I. It turns out that the game changer happened at Nick's second mission. I managed to stop the attempt with Secret Identity, Dreamer and Rogue Borg Ambush. Unbeknownst to me, Nick was short of Engineer personnel in play, so he brought in Odo Founder to replace the Martok Founder (who had Intelligence for Rogue Borg Ambush) that I removed with Secret Identity. Rogue Borg Ambush then killed Odo Founder and stopped everyone, and Nick was forced to discard four more Engineer personnel from hand with Dreamer. That forced Nick to go digging for another Engineer personnel on his next few turns, while I went forward for the win. I completed my second mission and had one attempt stopped at my third. Nick then completed his second mission (having abandoned the mission requiring Engineer) but didn't return because he still lacked Engineers. I then micro-attempted my final mission and Nick couldn't play any dilemmas. I still hadn't had the chance to play any copies of Field Studies.

FW: 120-75

Round 3Terok NorWilliam HoskinFW (+85)
Will was playing a Terok Nor two mission win solver. Fortunately for me he spent a good few turns using Weyoun to kill off my Enterprise-D Commanders. Luckily, my deck is built to get them and the Enterprise-D out, so his tactic didn't slow me down much. I walked through my first mission attempt to take the mission. My next attempt (in space) was stopped by Tactical Disadvantage, but I used a Field Studies (yay!) on my next turn and micro-attempted to complete that turn. Will still didn't have a ship out by this point and I was confident of the victory. I was even prepared to prevent his copies of Ruling Council should he play them. It never got to that though. Will made one mission attempt, which I stopped, before I completed my third mission for the win.

FW: 115-15

Closing Thoughts
The deck never quite performed as well as Joel's version did against me. In my game against Will, I did complete two missions in the first 15 minutes, but it took me another 20 to finish the game. With a good draw, it can be very hard to stop!
