Unjustly Banned (RedDwarf) Tournament Report - Tr - Online Event 2013-10-13 - 08:00 PM GenCon - Discard/Tally Introduction I almost forgot about this tournament, so I threw a deck I played at GenCon into Lackey for this tournament. The scorecard is here. Round 1 () I discarded my way to 326,503. Of particular help were Josh and Michael who were Battle'ing me and losing :). Will scored a Bij on me just before I went out. Round 2 () This round went much like the first. I went out again, and again I scored 300k thanks to a couple of battles I won. I also picked up 50k from IDIC. That left me over 500k ahead of second place. Round 3 () I got bogged down by Toxins in this round. Still, I Masaka'ed to get the round ended quickly. Michael went out with 310k, but I still picked up another 50k from a split Tally. Round 4 () Justin played a Recycle in this round, and as my discard pile was sitting at 26 cards, I begged him to Recycle me. Much to the others bemusement, he did. I still had about 18 cards in my deck at that point, but it meant the combined effort of the other players to deck me would fail. Once again Toxin was keeping my hand full, and the occasional Freeze of Discard wasn't helping either. Will eventually went out with 150k Round 5 () I went into the round leading by about 400k, so I wanted to get it over as quickly as possible. Michael put a spanner in the works by continually Battle'ing Justin. I don't know how much ended up in his score pile, but I suspect he would have taken the tournament had he gone out. Fortunately, Kris was able to copy a Go into a Discard to go out and nab second place. I finished around 300k ahead of him.
