Historical Research was in the deck and I went first all three games.......wtf Round 1 Nicholas Yankovec FW (+70) Nick was playing Equinox and didn't get miss Gilmore out so an Issue of trust hit him as welll as some good Caretakers Guests selections of Lore with no NA people in Nicks Discard Pile. Androids powered through more dilemmas FW 100-0 I have the same relationship with Androids that Indiana Jones has with Nazis, snakes, and probably Nazi Snakes. Hell, I hate ‘em. I could use the report to slate them, saying their cost to potential attribute/skill level is too low, the act of revealing Androids from hand to boost others is embarrassingly cheap, how they’ve got too much support in the form of Ira Graves or Noonien Soong (who can prevent stops, let you play them to ships AND download them) and how they’re one of the few species that are actually immune to certain dilemmas. But I won’t. Instead I’ll just kick myself for not packing Quarren Labor Shortage and The Seen and the Unseen when I glanced at the dilemma deck that morning. Full Win 0-100 to Will, and we’re back in the Prime Universe. Round 3 Soren Ramme Nielsen FL (-25)View opponent's ReportView original Report A tight game that I thought I would lose as soon as Soren managed to complete Commandeer Prototype and played the Pheonix. I could score 110 points but had to lose 5 to convert Genesis Planet to a space mission so I would still be 5 points down and would need a fourth mission. Another issue I was having was Dukat,PWP clearing out my discard pile and Soren's Caretakers Guests hitting and removing personel almost as fast as I could play them along with Hard Time. Time was ccalled with me on 75 points needing to complete Genesis planet and Historical research still and soren was attempting his final mission. I played what I thought was an awesome combo. Phycokinetic control (as Soren had Navaar in play) and at that point soren said he didn't have the mission skills so he would fail. I said we should finish off my dilemmas so that I can see if the combo would have worked. My caretakers guests gave me an option, take out someone who would mean I could get my combo to hit OR take out someone who ment Soren couldn't bring in the mission skills. I said to Soren that I wanted to see if the combo would work and went for the Romulan dude so he grabbed P'Tol and could now do the mission. An Issue of trust hti stopping a few but Karina unstopped someone which threw out my calculation and ment that the Dal'Rok didn't hit which inturn ment that polywater was too expensive to play and gave Soren the mission and the full win. FL 75-100 Aaaand it's another Hoskin. Will's a great guy and great company. He has made the trip to Denmark twice to attend our Regionals, so I was glad to come visit him for a change. Will was playing an updated version of his famous android build. When it get's going it's really hard to stop. Dukat and Caretaker's Guests served me well removing key personnel and managed to prevent Will from completing his missions for long enough for me to narrow out the win. It ended up being a full win, though Will could easily prevented me from completing my last mission (see Will's tournament report) which would have meant a modified win for me. With the new CVP tie breaker I ended up in 3rd place, but I suppose that's fair since my last game really should have ended in a mw.
