Introduction |
Built a 2 mission win deck for a couple of achievements, but not as many as the Borg deck |

Round 1 | | Nicholas Yankovec | FW (+85)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Nicks deck wouldn't get going and mine started fairly well, battling for points and the moving on and attempting 40 point missions, I was at95 points with 1 planet and 1 space done while Nick was on 0 points. Nick decided to get it over with and came over and initiated combat on my 2 people on a planet with a couple of his people killing on and then some more people beamed down and scored him 15 points. On my turn a couple of Grand Nagii were at the controls to score me the elusize points I needed for "Victory", yes I was using that Brunt.

Another Hoskin Ferengi deck. Biggest problems with the Bajoran Resistance deck - several ways to bet BR personnel into the discard pile, and several ways to get them into play from there. There is only 1 BR personnel who costs more than 3, however, Kira Liberator. So using Opaka for any other personnel is a waste of good points. Recruitment Tactics costs 2 to play; and if you use it for a combat, you'll probably only get a 2 or 3 cost personnel out of it. Plus, with crappy range ships flying over to start combat really delays mission attempts...
This isn't a rant, and I'll relook at this deck to try and improve it, but as it stands the BR team cannot work as the lynchpin of the deck (unlike Fed TMP, Cardy Groumal, Equinox etc.).
I lost by the way :) |

Must not kill James, must not kill James, must not kill James, must kill James...

Will was playing a Ferengi deck. My opening hand featured Broca and the Aldara, so I hoped to score 5 points to power the Aldara's ability, to help out with my first mission. Unfortunately, Will played the 5-points-scoring Brunt early on and ruined my combo. Git. I knew Will was using the Gorgan/Rule #141 combo (because I had to take the three copies of Rule #141 out of my Ferengi deck so that Will could use them.) Unfortunately, I couldn't draw into any copies of The Central Command, so I just had to work my way through them. Once I did, life became easier and my mission attempts went much smoother.

Round 3 | | Stuart Marsh | MW (+95) |
I liked Stuarts deck and if he hadn't been trying so much I think I would have struggled a lot more. Persuit cards are awesome. In the end I was 5 points of off the full win and Stuart sensibly ran to his HQ so I could not battle him. Attempted a mission almost completed it but no. On his final turn Stuart attemptted his mission for the second time and didn't make it through. One ore turn and maybe I would have had the FW.
