Introduction |
I decided to have a go at the Mirror Starfleet achievement and figured that with reflections I should be able to set up some good combos so I went for the Reflections + Quantum Filament + Nanite Attack + Gomtuu Shock Wave = boom!. I had added some dilemma support so that I could draw and play enough dilemmas and in each game I was able to get the combe but to varying sucess. |

Got the combo but stupid weenie cadets with just people left reflections wiffed which left the rest of the combo dead straight through fo James. How am I going to recover? I don't know how but I managed to slog my way through and win. James claimed he was close to winning but I still say he wouldn't have for another turn or two. |
Will was playing a Mirror Starfleet deck with a damage dilemma pile designed to destroy ships in one attempt (Reflections + Quantum Filament + Nanite Attack + Gomtuu Shock Wave = boom!). Unfortunately for me, Will had a great start. He dropped A Sight for Sore Eyes on turn two and then used Stewart Rivers to download multiple copies of At What Cost? for a fast start.
My first attempt was halted by In-Development and Where No One Has Gone Before (I took the trip). I hoped to do the same to Will on his first attempt, but I only drew In-Development and Gomtuu Shock Wave. It stopped him, but didn't send his ship away. From there, I stopped Will a few times, while I completed the first mission. Will's Reflections failed to stop anyone, and I then breezed through two of his damage dilemmas. Unfortunately, I struggled at my second mission, and by the time I completed it, I'd practically given away Will's second mission (stupid No Kill I consuming 3 dilemmas.)
I think I was one turn away from winning the game when my dilemma pile failed me. Will completed his third mission and won the game.

Borg Borg Borg. I was hoping that this deck would have a shot against Nicks Assimilator but due to the amount of events in the deck everyone was stopped by reflections which left the three damage dilemmas under the mission and Nick could do it the next turn. This forced me to go out and attempt. I hate getting loads of people assimilated. Nick won |
Will and his Mirror Starfleet deck. Will made 2 mistakes this game, and the first was hilarious. He was staying at his HQ so I went out to attempt. He played 5 dilemmas against me, meaning to completely destroy my ship I think - the first dilemma was Reflections, which stopped my whole crew, putting all those dilemmas under!!! Bwah-hah-hah!! I managed to assimilate probably 6 of his personnel after he attempted, and was on 15 points (I think) when time was called. One with the Borg gave me a few more points, and I had to complete 2 missions for the win, or give Will a Modified Win (he had completed a planet and space at this point, IIRC). I attempted my Space mission, with 5 dilemmas under, and completed with the help of K&E. Luckily, he used Gomtuu, so I scored 10 points from Locutus, otherwise I couldn't afford to use K&E at my planet mission, Will's 2nd mistake. I attempted the planet mission, using K&E and Unyielding to get past the dilemmas for the win. |

Round 3 | | Stuart Marsh | FW (+100) |
Stuart was trying some thing a little different but once the combo hit and blew his ship and crew up he couldn't recover, I never realy saw what Stuart was trying to do but we spoke about it after the game. Combo working 1 not working 2 |
