Don't second guess your deck choice and don't play hung over. |
Introduction |
The night before we had a bbq and I drank a lot....I mean a lot of beer. The next morning, while hung over I made the decision to alter this deck from a different form to the one you see. Yeah, dumb decision.
...and yes, this was taking place from noon till 5pm and at 5pm I still had a hangover...though a few days later I got a horrendous cold so I'm thinking that I actually had a hangover stretched out by a weakened body. |

Round 1 | | Mike Harrington | FL (0) |
I misplayed a dilemma on his first attempt. I then misplayed on his second mission as a gamble to make up ground. Game over. Hang over's suck. |

Round 2 | | Nathan W | FL (0) |
I somehow manage to skill track through my pounding headache to realize that Nate doesn't have 2 bio to straight solve Find Lifeless world and all his queens are in the dc pile. Thats the only thing that kept me in this game as Two of Nine didnt let me keep Holding Cells on the table long enough to protect against his interrupt cheating. All said and done I almost pull this out but he luck draws his Dal'Roks on consecutive mission attempts. |

Round 3 | | Valerie Magnuson | MW (0) |
I'm steamrolling then get hit, out of nowhere, with Causal recusion. Yeah, don't pull your tongo out of your deck the morning of....your hangover will prevent you from remembering why you had it in the deck earlier. So the rest of the game was me using up my rules allowed series of actions in a reasonable amount of time as I tried to hold out for the timed win. Which I got. There was a lot of flying to and from missions this game. |

Bought the Original Champ a beer and shared war stories. Hangover cured by a quick infusion of more beer. Just remember OC that its called "Fat Tire" and yes, it's delicious. If you can swing it with the wife, your welcome to come out here to buy that beer. |
it's such a pleasure to sit down with a fellow champ. the beer's on me next time, Big Kev. thanks for sharing the glorious war stories. i still didn't hear the end of that one you were telling me from 2008... |
